We traveled to Slovenia to take a trip on the Transalpina steam train, but no trip to this scenic gem would be complete without visiting Lake Bled and Bled Castle set in the stunningly beautiful Julian Alps. Bled Island with its iconic church is situated in the middle of the emerald green waters reached only by rowing boat or traditional Pletna boat. Perched high on a rocky cliff overlooking the lake is the picture post card medieval castle with its magnificent views over the surrounding lake the mountains. Firstly we visit the castle where we are treated to a medieval market before walking up the steep path to the castle where we see a cultural play and traditional dancing. After spending time taking in the awesome views we return to our coach for a tour around the lake finishing at the landing stage from which the lovingly looked after Pletna boats ferry visitors the Bled Island

Very pittoresk lake with small KuK village. At middle age celebrities to me most interest gets this middle age carousel. Can't remember to know such kind. - Heinz
