durianrider, Metabolic Typing is the science of identifying how an individual metabolism is affected by different foods. It's breaks people down into oxidizers, non-oxidizers and balanced. Each type is affected differently by sugars. It attempts to explain why some struggle and others thrive on high sugar diets. The science is quite compelling. I was just wondering if there has been a study comparing this approach to veganism.

The number of fruits in our ancestral homeland is legion - in Southern Africa, according to one source, fruits of 200 indigenous trees are eaten by some peoples, whether raw, dried, or ground and made into a gruel and cooked. These fruits cover the spectrum from sweet and good, through tasteless, to actively astringent. Another author counts 200 edible fruits in Zimbabwe alone!

I've actually heard from a lot of strict dietists that they went on the fruitarian diet for a long time, felt great and then suddenly, after about 4-6 months, they totally rash out and/or collapse, can't do anything. This makes me really scared of trying the diet. Can you explain it?

My professor (in history and philosophy of science) recommended Keith's book to me because he found it an interesting and informative read. Haven't read it yet. However, it only takes 15 seconds of watching this video to realize this chode (Daniel) is a moron.

rehanb No it didn't. you stated something as fact without backing it up with any facts. It's funny how all you youtube trolls go around writing comments like you are so smart and peer-reviewed scientists when reality you're not lol.

I'm just now getting into the raw food. I keep hearing that you should take a B-12 supplement. Isn't there just a plant I can eat to get enough B-12? Thanks. because where is the B-12 in the supplement coming from?

For those asking about B-12, you can get plenty of that from the Acai berry, or from spirulina It's also not something you need every single day cause your body stores it up to use whenever it needs to.
