Day 15: Why a 100% raw food diet can make you SICK. Warning! jaylynn444: She has some good videos (the one on WHY not to drink milk actually got me to stop eating meat because of the graphic footage of the newborn baby calf being thrown in the back of a truck w/the mother running after it crying! It's hard to believe humans can be so awful - luckily only a small percentage are. I just can't support an industry that thinks it's OK to torture animals, when they can just as easily treat the animals kindly & kill them without the animal suffering, but her constant negativity & ego are not something I will bring into my life. Plus, she doesn't have any background in nutrition, and a lot of what she says is just her personal OPINION - not fact. I haven't watched too many of her videos, so I don't know if this is true, but based on what she is saying in this video, it sounds like she has had an eating disorder in the past? If any of you have had raw desserts, you know that you don't need much to feel satisfied - I sometimes am satisfied on a very small 1/2 a piece of raw chocolate. And since there's no sugar, which is 8x's more addictive than cocaine, there's no need to binge. But she WAS binging, so NO WONDER she felt sick! As a Holistic Nutritionist, I can tell you that that absolute healthiest diet is: (drum roll pleeezzz) A VARIED DIET. If you're eating 10 avocado's a day, a jar of cashew butter, and a whole pan of raw brownies - OF COURSE YOU'RE GOING TO GAIN WEIGHT & FEEL SICK! Just like you would if you ate 10 cupcakes & a bowl of cookie batter - sheesshhhh! But if we eat a VARIED diet, with ALL of the macronutrients: healthy Carbs, healthy Fat, healthy Protein, healthy Oils with lots of fruits & veggies, a little healthy raw desserts - we're all good! I eat roughly 75% raw on my best days (most of the time, & it is without a doubt, the healthiest I've ever been! My doctor said that my blood work is PERFECT, my weight is perfect & that I will probably never get diabetes & heart disease - which I already knew; ) She's pretty open minded for a medical doctor, and has known me for over 15 yrs, so she's seen me on the rollercoaster of gaining & losing weight. My heaviest was 152, which I know isn't fat for someone as tall as I am/w/a D cup, but it was big for me. After going 55% raw I lost a little, felt better, didn't get sick anymore. but I knew I could do more. I went 75% raw & everything changed! I dropped 17 lbs like it was nothing, and have kept it off (& even lost a few more lbs) for almost 3 yrs. I have a smoothie (or a fruit parfait w/cashew cream, or raw pancakes/crepes) for breakfast, a big salad (or fruit) for lunch, and a vegan dinner. And if I feel like it, I will snack on fruit or veggies w/cashew cheese or hummus. I don't have to work out as much to look better than I did (w/more muscle) in my 20's (I was skinny, but not toned like now. ANYONE can do this - anyone! You don't need to be extreme, just educated on nutrition so you understand WHY certain foods (like dairy) shouldn't be eaten. The longest living people on the planet don't eat meat or dairy (or a little meat once a week or so in very small portions) - for scientific proof read The China Study (Cornell University & Doctor T. Colin Cambell. Chose to follow positive influences like Markus Rothkranz (over 20 years of studying health, wellness, nutrition, Rawvana, Fullyrawkristina. On Facebook I like Raw Raw Raw (facebook. com/rawfoodclasses. Good luck & good health to all: )

if you need to ask why an extreme and unnatural diet can be unhealthy, one steeped in ego and identity, then you are not asking a question. you are looking for confirmation.
The ego and identity. not to mention the delusion and confirmation bias of this diet are extreme. people in this mind set, can not see things that are obviously false, even when one of the gurus say we have a jaw/tooth structure like a horse.
When someone or a company says 99. 9999999999 % they are talking shit.
This has all the hallmarks of a cult. I have yet to watch a video by a vegan, fruititarian, raw food version, that actually talks about how the body works, enzymes etc this video was fact free, all bluster.

(Raw) nuts are also important. They contain fat soluble vitamins which can't be found in fruits and veggies. Cold pressed oils contain unsaturated fatty acids which are also good for the body. This is what a famous German doctor recommended to his patients. He got famous because of the great results. He wrote in his books that leaving oil out of a diet is one of the biggest mistake. Of course we shouldn't be eating great amounts of both nuts and oils. For example are 3 walnuts a day enough. The same is true for almonds (just 7, unsalted pistachios (just 7, Brazilian nuts (3-4 in a month.

Am I getting this right? I need to eat fruit and veges all day every day, but maybe at night have a vegan cooked meal? Just checking before I get into this lifestyle. Also I was wondering if you have any tips on how to achieve this lifestyle if your family doesn't live by this and they don't buy large abundance of fruit and vegetables? As I'm only a teen I do not have constant access to fruit. Last but not least I LOVE YOU FREELEE YOU HAVE COMPLETELY LIFTED MY HOPE OF HOW TO NOURISH MY BODY XX

You comment for common beauty, and not healthy.
1st we all need salt, and it's very healthy!
2nd Oils are essential to our body, especially our immune system. And nuts have one of the best oils we can get.
Enough said. Please ingore for your health.
(sorry for my english)

Sounds like being vegan is not a good idea for me then. Under orders from a cardiologist I need an extremely high salt diet to RAISE my blood pressure along with medication so I can actually function because of POTS. No amount of food can give me the level I need. If salt is not allowed, this won't work for me.

Great info on this video. I have experienced too much fat from cashews and camelina oil which led me to this video. However, theobromine is NOT a neurotoxin, despite caffeine being one. Do a quick google search for theobromine and neurotoxin and you will see that it is NOT a neurotoxin like caffeine is.

I have a question about salt! Whenever I work out and I sweat, a residue of salt stays behind on my skin. Google says that I should eat more salty things but salt retains water! It seems to totally defeat the purpose and make me look bigger. What should I do? :c

Your wrong about the salt, salt DOES NOT CAUSE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, please check your facts as ( some ) people are taking your word as gospel, you should also add a disclaimer that you gave NO FORMAL EDUCATION IN NUTRITION PRIOR TO YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES.
