My Weight Gain from white sugar + VLOG Corina: Ok, I am no specialist in these things but as I know, processed (refined, I am not talking about the one which is naturally occuring in fruit and veggies) sugar is worse than animal fat, Im talking bacon, beef cuts etc. So I made a little test on myself to see if its true, as I have a major sweet tooth and I used to consume way more sugar than I actually needed. Over summer i worked in a cake shop, so you can imagine the huge amount of sweets I ate. The result, I easily gained weight which was quite hard to get rid of. It took me 3 full months of clean eating, water and gym sessions to lean down again. Oh, by that time I was avoiding meat (and I still am, because I just dont like it in general) but i was still consuming animal protein. Now, I avoid refined sugar (I almost eliminated it from my diet and replaced it with plenty of fruit and nuts) and ate more lean protein. The final result? I didnt gain weight although I eat larger portions than before, I have energy, I do not feel deprived and I have a better muscle definition. So my final conclusion is that sugar, at least in my case (I am NOT generalising, was far worse than fat (even if if came from animal or nuts, seeds. I dont know, just find whatever works for you, people. :)

I am low fat high carb vegan but there's one thing that's always confused me, I know you mention mainstream diets telling us to cut out processed sugar. On a vegan diet it's okay to have refined sugar too as the other diets but my questions are: Does this lead too type 2 diabetes? And why does FullyRawists tell us to stay away from refined sugar as it's linked and will give you type 2 diabeties? If you could please answer my questions I would be very grateful and I'm frustrated why I don't understand this. Thank you for your video, love you lots Freelee x

Hi Freelee, I love your videos and you have inspired me so much! I completely agree with and practice a plant based diet, no meat, no dairy! However, when it comes to sugar, one thing that you are not addressing is the implications that it has on oral health. Since you are reaching so many people, please do your research and do a video on proper oral hygiene with a high sugar diet. Otherwise, people should start saving up for those high dental bills! - love your videos and your message.

Why do people who drink lots of fruit juice get fat then? Then when they cut out the sugary drinks they lose weight? You are using only two people to base your evidence upon. It's harmful for you to give out this advice when you don't have any scientific proof. Refined sugar is bad for the MAJORITY of the population, it isn't harming you because you burn it off and eat it alongside lots of fibre.

How often do you eat processed sugar? Like white sugar or high fructose corn syrup? Do you wait to eat it until after raw food? Could you make a video on this? I've been following this diet and love it but am not understanding why eat those types of sugars. Is it just of you're starving or do you eat it normally? Durian rider posted a video saying it makes you fitter. Help me understand!

In my opinion this diet plan is ridiculous really liked the thought of going vegan but then I wondered how much I would miss eating chicken. Also on this diet you seem to look older than you really are. Lastly the only thing that makes you look fit is you're stomach your arms just look like 2 noodles about to snap in half

Refined and processed sugar DID make me fat and my face break out. And I'm a fruit only raw vegan! So only fruit sugar in whole plant form for me from now onfruit sugar won't activate insulin response but apparently maple syrup and coconut sugar do

How unfortunate that the World Health Organisation, the Scientific and the Medical community all disagree with you on this. After seeing scans of organs coated in visceral fat, I think I'll stick to a low sugar diet thanks.

I never restricted my calories, or had an eating disorder. I am now going vegan, do you think that I will temporally gain weight on raw til 4, even though I never had an eating disorder or restricted my calores?
