Hi applaud your efforts on putting up that pole for your outdoor roof, however, don't you think it would've been a lot safer if there were two men, not just you and your girl. Not putting Nicole down she did a wonderful job, however, I can see a serious potential accident that could have happened, and the last thing either one of you two would want is one of you getting seriously hurt. With that being said please be a lot more careful. I do a Meyer your drive and commitments and what you were trying to accomplish. I wish I had the skills that you are demonstrating, For I would love to live off the grid-like you.

Next time you have a situation of pole lifting in this manner. Set one end of your pole on the end column post and then lift the other end of the pole and walk up a ladder. Pound a horizonal board half way up your column you are lift at so you can rest it on the board while you reposition yourself. once you reach the top you just lift it over you column end and it is set in place. Whenever you are doing something so difficult, step back and think outside the box with different scenarios and you can find the easiest and safest way to do what you are trying to do.

I watch you pacified.
It is wonderful. I love it.
But I want to warn you. When you chopping wood. If the hatchet or the splitting ax does not hit the wooden piece then it hits your knee. Always stand with wide legs when chopping wood. So it is safer, more comfortable and you can swing the ax with more power.
Another question? How do you want to survive the winter with only vegan food. The main food of all the peoples of the north lives mainly from meat and fish in winter, or you go to town for the winter

I discovered you guys about a week ago and have been binge watching to catch up on your videos. You guys amaze me! The challenge you had with getting that log up to build your first roof over the deck, was crazy. I'm constantly amazed by the team work you use to solve problems. Well done! I have a ways to go to catch up to where you are presently, but I wouldn't even think of skipping ahead. I don't want to miss out on a moment of your journey. :-)

My gripe with Jake is he takes over Nicole's time to speak. And he always has to be right more than Nicole. It seems like he at times is her father and trying to teach her as if she is a child. I would like to see Jake allow Nicole to just be herself. I like Jake, but he is losing some of my respect. I still respect the always working even if some things you do is dangerous as hell.

Nicole and Jake, my wife and I have a couple of ideas for -special items- we would like to send you by mail. However, I am not able to locate your P. O Box address, -down below- as you say in your blogs. Would you please send it to us, or help me find it on the page. We love watching you two, and have supported you through Go Fund Me, and will continue to do so!

Jake, that was painful to watch but I was sitting on the edge of my seat, lol. I was afraid for Nicole, the dogs and you. Good thing you are not building a log cabin. Raise the log pole up at the side with two ropes each end a bit at a time alternatively and roll it to middle. Just think how much work building the pyramids was, lol.

If i were you guys i would add a venmo account in my bio. Why? Because there is people like me who would not mind chipping in 5/10 dollars instead of feeling like i have a never ending subscription (if that makes sense. just saying. it would add up.
