Hi I'm Ron. Ive been watching your videos for about a week now and I gotta say, you two are hilarious, so, from what I've learned so far Nicole is American, Jake was born in Canada but grew up in America and holds duo Citizenship, Jake is amazing at chopping wood and inspires me to challenge myself more, Nicole, your artsy ways and creative thinking is endearing. I love watching.
1. I was wondering if you both still shower outside and have you figured out a way to get hot water for the shower?
2. Where is your outhouse? how do you go to the washroom?
3. Do you not need a fridge?
4. When the camera light goes out for the night, what do you use for evening lighting? or is it just the red glow of the wood stove?
I've binged watched so many episodes, from building the platform, land clearing and milling your own wood planks with a chainsaw mill, the entire Yurt build (was awesome seeing how the dome went in, the wood cover build, the deck and stairs to the front door of the Yurt, I could go on forever.

oh and how the dogs and cats? they are so cute and adorable.

Knock, knock near you is another group of people here in the upper northwest called Mt. Rose. com; check them out surely you will be surprised. My intentions are to sell-out all I have and move there. They are a bit like you but when I die they will bury my remains in the forest so my body can return to the natural soil. I, intend to work the last 30 or so years with the growing and harvesting and living there on the farm. Being a true humanitarian and realist, their answers have filled my heart with hope.

You guys got it maid you're away from the noise pollution you have great scenery which is really awesome and it's cool you're vegetarian I'm not I don't think I could survive up there just eating vegetables I'd have to go hunting and stuff I guess different ways people live but you guys are the best I enjoy watching your videos I watch to make breakfast one morning and I'm like did no bacon is notice there's no that but it's great to live off the land you guys have a really blessed day

Love your videos but you are always saying to be kind to everyone and actually complain when people say negative things in your comments. While I agree with you perhaps you could be a bit nicer as well. If you are going to plug a company that sends you something then plug them and don't tell people they are much better off going and buying a different product. Sorry just an observation. I think you guys are doing great and am sure you will make a long happy life in this paradise.

Hi Nicole, I am Ainsley Weskin you said you love blankets so do do I, But I was bought a thick dressing gown and When I take it off and cover with it it is fantastic as the heat goes back and forth I think I is complete Polyester if you ha one or get one you would love it hope You both get on well X

I have been binging you guys like crazy during quarantine. I live in the mountains of Mexico with electricity and all that, but my life has become, well, a little boring and predictable. You guys are inspiring me for something. Not sure what that is, but it's something. Thanks friends.

Putting the ash directly onto the plants is not a good idea, woodash is very alkaline and can burn the plant, the Aloe can handle it, but for the Monstera and Chlorophytum it can be harmfull, you should evenly spread a thin layer around the plant as far as possible from the stem.

Jake watch what you say, your comments can be so rude. Your environmental position is well known. Your tangents can be offensive and insulting to those who took the time, effort and expense to send you things. That-s different from asking folks not to send opened, unwrapped items.

How about a lot less criticism folks and a lot more encouraging suggestions for these young folk, People do best by trail and error not disparaging snide remarks, we were all that age one time, believe me, they're doing the best they can and I think they're doing wonderfully
