It only takes one injury to completely change your life.
You've learned a lot in your 38 years of living, no doubt. And you and Nicole are doing pretty amazing things. But one can always learn something and should always strive to do so. Learning from another's experience is often priceless. This is especially true when it comes to your health and mobility.

Jake you need to research how to make a plunge-cut and you can cut leaning trees much more safely. What you described as the tree splitting is called -barber-chair- and a lot of people get killed that, but making plunge cuts after you cut your wedge will make felling a leaning tree much more safe. I have been wanting to ask you two how you are managing financially. Do you have a nest egg other then the sale of your arizona property? I would love to live out there, but would need a source of income, also safety is a major concern with the wild cats and other wildlife.

How do they make their money it may be cheaper but still not free. And no offense would loved this lifestyle if I had the guts but to be true when you get older and no longer want to have fun (if you know what I mean) that lifestyle will lose some luster.

suggestion: cut another piece of tree to put on the outside of the cat enclosure at the pipe. Then the 2 pieces of wood can sandwich the chicken wire between them. That might make a stronger opening.

Please learn to fall a tree. The way you did that can kill you because it will be prone to splitting. Learn what's called a bore cut. Much is safier. Hope you understand my concern
