hey guys first please dont think im a troll im not sure what atroll is but ive heard enough about them that i dont want to be one. i am 58 yrs old and ive been binge watching your videos and i was wondering if you ever fight. if you prefer not to reveal how your relationship works i understand its private but i see u struggle sometimes when things dont go how you wanted to. not with each other but in general i was wondering if i missed a video about how both of your goals are connected is one doing all this for the other or is something you both want or do you each want something different and this plan helps you both to get there. and how go you keep from blaming each other when youor if you get mad about something you both seem to treat each other with consideration. and i love your videos and will support you on patreon

if people that have split wood before and a lot of it with a ax/mall/ they would know just from watching you hitting the edge of those rounds that they are tight and hard, some, if not most on here are ones that get machines or think they know so much more than one's that have worked in the real world, just me thinking out loud for over 80 years, been/started working at the age of 12,

Looks like its time to rig up a log skidder. worried for your back there Jake. got a bunch of logs there big enough to make wheels. put a turnbuckle on top of it to lift the log and just roll it up to your workstation. and here I am sitting in LA and while giving this good advice. managed to let my coffee pot run over. and drenched my counter top. ha.

When a tree is fresh felled and the wood is still green it is much easier to split. At three years since it was felled it is understandable why it's so hard to split. It can be done but it takes a lot more swings and a lot more energy. I know you have to take it the way you get it sometimes. Good job but I can tell it was tough

I have to ask - is there some kind of rule at your homestead that you can't make things an easy way? Or is there some kind of training behind this strange log flipping? There is simplier way of moving a log than flipping it over - moving one end at time as you did when you placed them next to your firewood is one example.

Jake and Nicole, i have enjoyed watching your progress. I don't know what is under you yurt, but i was thinking it might be a good place to grow mushrooms. i don't know anything about the varieties that might grow your way. We are in the far South. You both seem to have acquired many skills along the way.

Love your projects and you're doing an amazing job. Just a thought to help your deck last longer. Have you thought about installing your deck boards with a gap so the water doesn't stand on top of your deck and instead will flow through your deck?

Your metal roof is put on in the wrong direction. The snow will have a hard time sliding of, for the slats should be running from the high point to the lowest. Too much weight from the snow will cause it to cave in.

Constantly working and building things does not sound like fun to me. A serious injury is bound to happen. It pains me seeing so many trees being cut down. What's the big deal with the sticker on the window?
