I hope I have an upset you I have said in the past maybe you talk too much you get off subject maybe a little bit but it's your platform to say what you're thinking right. You're free to talk and tell us any other kind of way what you're thinking what you're up to. Everyone's going to have ups and downs it's life. I mean nothing is perfect I mean it's the world. Whatever you're doing is working obviously you got it going on for yourself I mean you basically just about got a island to yourself I mean look at that place it's really starting to come along. There's a lot of people out here that care for you guys you have friends even though you don't maybe talk to them every now and then don't think that they're going to look down on you for something I mean we all make mistakes it's part of getting older but you know if you talked about what you're thinking about sometimes some people could take it the wrong way not everybody's the same. From the window looking in everybody wants to see that perfectly married couple that has just made things look effortlessly it's not like that you know that we know that. If you share about problems you're having or blah blah blah you know people are going to say negative things. If you start talking about negative things all people want to hear is how everything's going great and everything is beautiful that is not the case sometimes. If somebody is pointing something out it's just an opinion and it does not matter. Unless it's going to hurt you or people around you other than that I mean you know you got to have thick skin. We should be able to see you suck and you're going to smile through the pain. You know how it is I'm not saying that but I'm just saying. Smile through the pain drink their tears when you're doing better they are haters you got to drive to hear those hateful comments because that is what's going to give you your thick skin there's nothing wrong with having thick skin to the world. Keep your chin up don't let those people eat at you it just makes you look weak there's nothing wrong with being a good person there's nothing wrong with being weak at times to say hey I could have done better I wish I could have done better but I'm only human brother. I've been weak I wish I could have done better you got to wipe the spit from your eyes and get back up on your feet if it's to distance yourself away from the abuse or to hopefully go to a better day or have a better day tomorrow. I'm happy for anybody that's doing better than they were doing yesterday and that's kind of the motivation behind whatever if somebody points something out hey you could have done that or you're struggling with that why don't you use the equipment that you paid good money for we are human we are fragile species save your back I know you're a guy that likes to be Hands-On but I've made those comments myself I just want you to know that you hurt less it hurts less to pick up that piece of wood you know it's nothing wrong with getting the wood splitter out. Yeah you're in great shape you look great you look good with your shirt off man I mean I wish I could do it I'm just weak I would just be like hey there's nothing wrong with getting the wood splitter maybe I can get this knocked out and work on having that other kid you're home enjoy those precious memories enjoy your time brother that's the only thing that I would be pointing out. I hope I haven't said nothing that would hurt your feelings I just want the best for you I'm a guy that says hey you got diesel fuel let's use it in something that's going to be easier I'm about simplifying life I don't want to make it no harder on me. Hugs and kisses for you both and the babies. If you're struggling I mean it's okay to cry just tell us what's going on you just got to wipe your tears off and say well maybe tomorrow is going to be better we can have a better day tomorrow. Sometimes you just got to take a break okay I'm beat down I'm weak I'm tired I am wore out. It's all good

Jake you can put a price tag on anything especially when it comes to a home it takes somebody willing to either make payments or make a purchase. You can put whatever price tag you want on it I mean it takes somebody actually to make a purchase. It was like a small house I don't think it's worth that kind of money. The only way somebody's going to get that kind of money out of it is if they can actually need to live somewhere I got a buddy he lives at a community that's close to a factory. That's the only reason he wants to live there so it's close to his job other than that. The house means nothing he could have sold it for almost $500, 000 but he couldn't get another house even close to that place there was a kid that wanted to live beside of his dad and he's like I really can't even sell it I don't even care about whatever they got going on. He's just going to make his payments to he retires and then you know obviously he will have a million dollars which is not much money these days but it's not taxed really bad it's taxed at like 10% or something so he's only got to pay $100, 000 and he's 900, 000 to the good and then you know the house will be paid off obviously and he said that guy still wanted that house maybe I can double up and I can just go have some fun for a little while. He honestly said the house is not worth what he wants to give for it but if he wanted to live beside of his dad I mean sure I will sell it I kind of live here now and I call it home but I mean somebody's going to run to work at that factory and you know I would rather be somewhere else if I'm not going to work there.

The US is almost 40 trillion in debt. Forty trillion. The USA is in arrears for almost 40 T. We are racing through 37T in December 2025 and estimated to hit 40 in about a year or by 2027. We owe this, each citizen, or about (low ball) $140, 000 assuming population remains around 330-350 million and does not tank further which it is trending towards because citizens can't afford kids. And the government behaves, which is unlikely by what we see right now, especially with the government shut down shenanigans of representatives demading, key word 'demanding' we spend money we just don't have.
The interest alone to the entities we borrowed from with this currency debt scam is in excess of one trillion alone.
STOP and think about that real hard.
Some fun facts, the highest national debt relative to the economy (debt -to-GDP) occured during and immediately after WWII (around 1945-1946, peaking near 117% of GDP driven by massive war spending, a whopping $269 billion in that times currency worth, today that would be $4. 1 trillion. It has never been fully paid off, just rolled forward, like everything else

Hi I love watching your real-time building lifestyle, the offgrid, the children, dogs and cats, It brings back many many memories, from my childhood you and Nicole were so privileged to have met each other, im single as the mere males here in tas Australia, can’t handle strong independent women, here, as for cities i loath them to many people, i love being in nature or at sea! Nicole your awesome, I know from hands on experience what it takes to cut, split, transport and stack wood, milland cut wood to size, work on fishing boats! It’s the world’s most empowering gym, the gym of life, and yes it takes time! Hang in there! Enjoy each task, everyday! I’m sailing too these days, i used to be the power plant gal, but wind power was introduced through fun! nowi love that too! Your container home will develop stage by stage, and you will cherish it that little bit more, too! Jake just use news etc as white noise! I do most of time, I watch you tube, as my bed stories loving it! Ifyoujust observe you can pick most of AI. Yes walk walk, hike! Absorb it all in,

You're not failing at gridlife. Seems like you're doing it pretty good! You should just make videos with time-lapse. Also these bonus videos are mostly you talking. It's cool but pictures are worth a thousand word. I do miss your old videos. I get kids and life and stuff. I've been watching from the literal start. And your platform has definitely changed l. Live streaming is jumpy and by the time you tell us what you wanna do we could have watched the video of you doing it. Maybe just overlay your voice if you have tons to say. I think influenecers have got the wrong message that we want to hear you. The pod casts and life stories. Home video logs it really takes us away from the reason we stopped to watch. It is the offgrid life, the building, the walking, the struggle and the perseverance. Kids are cute Nicole is awesome and you rock. You got this! Before you know it those kids will be big and running around actually helping!

Ignore people that have nothing nice to say! Do not let them get to you! Try BBC for news & weather. When I was young I lived in a Caravan at Blue Bend Caravan park, overlooking Nahoon Beach in East London, South Africa. What a lovely community of caring, super people. I worked for an Accounting Firm as an Article Clerk. Then upgraded to what we call a park home there, it is called a trailer here. Best time of my life, had so much money, very few expenses, just the basics & it was great. Our life was spent on the beach, fishing, gathering seafood, surfing & fires on the beach. Now in the US in the burbs, with my 12 raised beds growing food & a mortgage & yes still working. Just keep life as basic as you can. Thanks for sharing what you are all doing! Have a happy festive season!

I have much love in my heart for you and your family. I could never live your life, but I believe in your vision and am constantly impressed with all you guys have accomplished.
I use to live in a village on Vancouver Island and now I live in a city and I miss my tiny community. I miss the crows that I've watched grow, the family of deer that wonder around and the sounds of the eagles. Now I hear ambulances and police sirens. People are dying on the streets and people are going missing.
The gift you are giving your children is a gift money can't buy in a city.
You don't make these videos for the haters or bots, you make these videos for people like me who respect and understand what you are trying to accomplish.

I also left what has become a vastly corrupt and failing society. When a girl calls herself modest because her body count is less than 10 at age 20; we all know something is really wrong. So we are a family of 7 and moved to southwestern Virginia, homeschooled through high school. Our children are in the workforce and are strategically positioned with jobs which are very stable. Their spiritual life is top priority, and they do not need to become enmeshed in the pitfalls of our society; they carry the life lessons of farm life with them. It is a successful model, BUT the main ingredient to health and well being is LOVE and CONNECTION in the home.

Happy Christmas to you and your lovely family. I admire you and Nicole for all you have achieved. I and my wife moved our family to a virtually derelict homestead in France from the UK in 1991 when I was 37 in took us years to finish renovating it and bring up our 4 very young children. It was a fraction of what youve achieved and I respect your effort. I worry for the safety aspect of your working on your own, and I see the toll on you physically and mentally as you push so hard. Its a strain on you both, but you are vey close to the turning point when it will hecome easier. I wish you all the best for 2026. Bonne courage.

I find NPR and PBS and BCC as impartial as any news systems. I have to consistently assess the news from any source for facts, fairness, and consistency with other news sources such as edited journals or articles. Closeness to nature and to God gives us the serenity and ability to assess things that are true. Dave Ramsey is one source of how to live life. from an economic view. I think the Holy Spirit gives me guidance for my life and the decisions I need to maker. From an elderly Phoenian. Fear of economic, social, and political collapse is always present. It is up to citizens to prevent the collapse.

You are living many peoples dream that don't really have the opportunity to live that lifestyle. And you both deserve a lot of credit for your hardworking. I have been a carpenter for 52 years and still work hard all week. I have a large piece of property 25 minutes from a small town with all the conveniences, that helps to care for my family and livestock. I see all that you two have done and find it very impressive and underrated. Have you ever read the novel Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey Keep up the good work - take a day off once in awhile, enjoy your family and you will live forever!

JEALOUSY is so hard to understand from other people. They don't know or understand or really even care so I do not understand why they take the time to make a negative comment. Their life is something you wouldnt understand just like they don't understand your life. Please try and ignore no matter how hard. I enjoy bith sides of your video showcases whether descriptive or you speaking. You're life is amazing and what YOU want for yourselves and children. Merry Christmas to you guys!

Jake, watching you and Nicole is one of the best times in my evenings. You’re both so wise. You need more time to relax, enjoy the small things and NOT spend so much time working. Set some limits, and you’ll always be grateful you did. Work no more than 8-10 hrs a day, and do FAMILY only Sundays. You can’t get this time back with your little ones. Be proud, stay confident, overlook the negative crazies out there we love you and your sweet family!

Hey Jake, I live in Australia and I’m in awe of everything you and Nicolle have achieved out there. I’m in my mid 50’s and have been paralysed for a decade now. I love watching what you guys are doing, in another life I would have loved to raise my 3 sons away from all the garbage that comes from living in and around cities and have them grow in natural surroundings with the dirt under their feet. Ignore the hate, sending love to you all your family
reply

Only listen to ones who do not take corporate money. Bernie Sanders who I listen to. He is telling truth. My husband taught me of the horrors of corporations paying off govt. All big countries taking aipac money. They send bombs to Israel. Almost 700000 have died in Palestine. Big countries pay them. U. s. pays 3. 8 billion a yr for 4p years. Israel has free childcare healthcare college free abortions so much.

I used to watch NPRrr and democracy nowww but then stopped around the same time and yes I was disappointed because I thought I was receiving honest and positive information But you don’t realize what you were doing before stop making it about yourself, you inspired a huge generation to garden, grow fruit trees, and live more self reliant. That was your mission during the Tempe days.

Those people who are leaving negative comments are so miserable in their own lives that they need to make other people as miserable as they are. Keep your eyes on the prize and remember that you are helping people who simply can't travel or grow their own food or build their house. you and Nicole have helped so many people and I hope you realize that. p. s.
