Whats cooler than an action sequence underwater? How about one inside the cone of a volcano underwater? Thats the setting for this dizzying, spirited scene from Aquaman, in which Arthur (Jason Momoa) engages in a battle with his half-brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson. In the narration, the director James Wan discusses how he used the environment of the volcano to help the audience understand the space, and how he plotted out the stunt choreography for the sequence. Don't understand how people don't find this fight cool. It's underwater which we never see much of and it's wide single shots which are the best way to film fights. It's not that I dislike New York, San Fransisco, or Space, but it's good to not see it set in those places for once so we finally get a change

Despite it being overshadowed by Spider-Verse for me this month, i had a blast watching this movie.
Really fun movie indeed, and if you read the comics you know that James did a fantastic job into taking the lore of Aquaman into the big screen.

ehh. water physics are weird and and level of tech is stranger.
Sure, it's a movie about a super dude but there's an obvious we have an insane budge look to it that makes it lame.

The pros and cons list was hilarious. I loved the visuals of this movie so much, and the fact that their costumes aren't CGI! Seeing it a third time this weekend

This was honestly the coolest movie I have ever seen in my entire life. James Wan REALLY knew what he was doing here and I can't wait to go watch it again.

This movie should have been short listed by The Academy for Best Special Effects. The visuals are beyond amazing! Thank you for this break-down, NYTimes.

Anyone who has managed to make a guy wearing an Orange-Green suit look badass, on a live action movie, deserve an enormous amount of credits.

If you watched the Conjuring and told me James Wan could make something like this I wouldn't have believed you a few years ago.

i know it's a comic book movie but how do they talk underwater again? forget physics LOL vocal cords don't work like that.
