Dear everyone who says being trans isn't real: I know dysphoria is a really hard thing to grasp but imagine this: All your life people are telling you you like the wrong things or that you DON'T ACTUALLY want or like things just because of how you're born. You don't get the toys you wish for as a child you get the ones deemed fit for the gender you're not. You can't wear the clothes you like as a kid because they're for the other gender and you're not allowed to like them. When you finally get a job as a teenager and get the clothes you like and get the haircut you like people call you names or even hurt you or destroy your things because you're different and don't like the things and look like everyone else in your gender. When you become an adult and fall in love you have trouble enjoying intimacy with your partner even though you both love each other, because your body just seems like it's all wrong. There's things in places you don't want them to be and other places are missing stuff you feel like you should have. Wouldn't you feel incredibly uncomfortable? Wouldn't you wish people would see and respect you as what you feel you are? If transgender people could just choose to actually biologically be what they feel like I promise you they would, just like you would to get the body you have now if you were born in a different one. Would you still tell them they're wrong if they by some science magic they could just switch their body to a biologically matching one?

There are males and females. Science has determined that based on chromosomes plus there is a few more differences that can be pointed out. I know some will argue about people born as both male and female. My response is that the percentage is so small that it doesn't change the original facts. For example, if you were born missing a couple fingers, the science still proves everyone should have 10. If you want to dress like another gender then I don't care. However, the problem is they want to argue that they feel differently so ignore the science and I am what I say I am. How do you know what it feels like? I can only tell you what it feels like to be me and I can draw similarities to other people, but I cant know what they feel. Let's also look at someone that hears voices. Do we treat those voices as real? Or do we treat the person for an illness? The main issue that I have with the trans movement is they are trying to present this to children and in some cases parents even alter who they are based on a kid saying I want to be. that is totally not ok. Another issue and this is the big issue with a lot of movements, if you don't agree with them, then you are transphobic. You could have a sound response and explain why you feel that way, but it's only my way or no way.

This wont be the most popular opinion but here it goes. Humans are a binary species. We are born to a fixed biological gender regardless of how we feel or choose to express a gender identity. No amount of surgery or hormone manipulation will change your biological gender. Your DNA throughout your ENTIRE body will forever be male or female. Period. This is FACT. To perpetuate the idea that your lifestyle identity overrides biology is, to be blunt, delusional. However, your sense of personal identity is on par, in my opinion, with religion and racial identity thus should be recognized, respected, and protected from discrimination. As a side note: I hate the pronoun game ( he, she, they, and others) when talking to or about members of the LGBT community so I default to using their name in conversation but with use their desired Mr. or Mrs. in more formal settings. Its not perfect and alot wont agree. Im open for discussion though.

It's seriously messed up that people get to have an opinion or vote on whether or not I exist. I've heard from many people that they're tired of trans people always forcing themselves into the spotlight as if we ask for this kind of crap. I finally had my birth certificate and government documents changed a year ago and the joy that gave me, and the joy in living a normal life the last year has been incredible. People want to take this away from me, and for what freaking reason? I'm not harming anyone. Back before I had my documents changed I used to have to go up to people and they would see me as the girl I am and then I'd have to pull out ID and get refused service or have to go through the degrading and dehumanizing attempt at convincing them that things did match. And ffs, it's not about changing my gender whenever I feel like it.

Im not in the shoes of a trans person, and I have some gender non-binary friends, but I dont believe there is any more than male or female. It seems we have this narrative in todays society that says if you are an effeminate man or a more manly woman then despite what you biologically are, you must be something else mentally. Why make things so confusing? We have people who feel like such outcasts that they are removing their genitals, how crazy is that? We need to change how we culturally view man and woman. Gender non conforming holds the sweet irony of conforming to what we say makes a man or woman. You should be able to feel comfortable in your skin as you are without needing to do something so outlandish as to change your gender.

for those transgender I don't understand you but I do want everyone to have the right to live and to love I want them to feel comfortable and not have to fight so hard to just find a place to stay I feel like they should have the right to join the military if they like and go to school college and become a healthy member of society I hope that this is a bad decision in the States to allow people to pick on you hiding who you are being someone you are not suppose to be its sad but any business that would treat you that way is not a good place to go and they will not be getting any of my support

Some Americans get afraid when Muslim gets voted in congress, afraid they might change to sharia law. Even though we have constitutional laws and rights that conflicts with it. However, what they should be afraid of are those old white politicians who always get voted into office. They are the ones who are trying to take away gay rights, abortions rights, and restrict our healthcare options. Vote them out We need more younger people into office who understand this generation. We dont need people who were still alive when slavery or women rights were not there. No more old politicians

Is Trump really that insecure that he has to undo everything Obama stood for? Equality, new beginnings and second chances for compromise and understanding is what he strived to put into gear in his terms, Trump only cares about trying to look bigger by undoing these with discrimintation, fear, and hate. Whether he likes it or not, trans and other LBGT+ people are still people. Living and breathing. If this continues we will be nothing better than where we were decades ago with hateful discrimination and mass chaos. This needs to stop if we want to progress as a nation and as people.

I believe that you can identify yourself as any gender you want, but your actual gender should be determined by whats in your pants. I have many female friends that have been complaining of creepy guys claiming they identify as female lurking in the female bathrooms; I don't feel that is right at all. On the other hand, you do have the right to get gender re-alignment surgery, then go nuts, but just because you state you're one gender, until you fully commit and actually become that gender you shouldn't be allowed to get the benefits of that gender. (Does that make sense)
