What The Justin Bieber Fake Prank Exposed, Twitter Reform, Lion Air Flight 610, & The Tree of Life Amanda Devine: As for the shooting. I live close to it. I had a funny feeling about shabbat one day, and stayed home; not going to synegouge that day. Now knowing that he was trying to leave the building. I'm honestly crying. If he had gotten to my synegouge, who knows what would have happened. It sounds silly, but I felt it was a message from Him. It infuriates me to see Donald Trump to say there should be armed gaurds. This is a holy place of worship to connect to our G-d. There should be no violence for any place of worship, for any religion. This is not just about fake news about any side, this is antisemitism on all sides. And for people trying to make this a race issue to be more woke? I'm a black jew so it's funny to see people be mad about white Jews getting killed but ignore us. Is honestly sickening. This was clearly about Jews in general. I have the stereotypical Jewish nose, round face, almond eyes, long eyelashes and long, black, frizzy/curly hair. I'm debating wearing a Yamaka to cover my hair nowadays. This isn't about race. Sorry for my long winded paragraph, but this really hurts me. On this zikor, and every day, my prayers do go out to the victims and their families. This is an awful tragedy.

I live in Hawaii and went to the Synagogue to pay my respects yesterday. Sad to say the media outnumbered the mourners at a 10: 1 ratio. The media is blaming Trump as a political device. Think about it, they usually blame the guns, now its Republicans and Trump. Why? Oh, its a week before midterms. The media IS playing games, I saw this first hand. Shame on the media 100X shame on them (CNN specially) The neighborhood was very nice, upscale. Tears were many, community mourning. Therapy dogs were on site, Chaplin, people from all walks of life to support this tragedy. Many placing flowers, notes and candles in front of the 11 names at the memorial on Shady st. next to the Synagogue. CNN, Ill never look at them the same way again. Agenda for midterms, exploiting the deaths of these wonderful people. Again, I was there, and I saw it and heard the spin. I didnt see any members of the media leave flowers, they stood by their cameras, eyes dry, souls empty waiting to mock the coming President and First Lady.

How do I reach you my story is on Facebook. I noticed it's getting a lot of attention that I really didn't expect. I simply didn't do it for that reason but now that I've thought about it, I've realized I could make a little bit of change for anyone who's going through this like me. Doctors don't believe when people are in pain they give you what THEY want to give you instead of giving you what you need. What ever happened to doctors just helping patients get better. Everyone is NOT addicted to pain meds. Some ppl do need it for relief, just a little bit if just for a little while. I go through pain everyday without meds mostly but if I'm in extreme amount of pain I expect doctors to do their job to making the patient feel a little better so they can finally sleep without waking up in agony. I wanted to email you, but I didn't have your email, sorry.

Regarding the Twitter likes thing- I've never really been interested in garnering likes on social media but rather, I see it as a way to bookmark things. Like, say, if I find a piece of art that I'm particularly fond of, I'll like the tweet it was in so that I can come back to it later if I want to show it to someone else. Or if I find a tweet regarding a news story or a piece of information I might find useful, I'll like it so that I can come back to it in the future if need be. That all being said, I know mine is an unpopular opinion and I've seen a lot of people get incredibly excited over the amount of likes they have on a post. I admit, I can see the appeal of being popular, even if only for a short time. I think the amount of likes on someone's posts might give them that.

That there is culture jamming. they are pointing out the hypocrisy of the media by playing themNice workRe: Twitter, if you haven't noticed there is a move by corporates to control social media in a coordinated mannerIt doesn't matter who the censor, they have weaponised social visibility, and they will continue to play with their toys. They don't want any opinions that may affect profit share. They are collecting data to classify who you are and what you're worthIt eventually will be what they have in China, but sold to you in instalments It's not a conspiracy, it's a business plan

Personally I don't care if they get rid of the like button. I do feel though that the button allows us to see that their are people who are like minded individuals. But if there are people seriously harming themselves over the fact they are not getting social media likes then oh well. I understand a number of those cases are most likely contributed towards mental illnesses, but some people really need to grow up. There are people that walk past you almost everyday and don't even acknowledge your existence. I get the sentiment, but it sounds kind of dumb.

Any idea that Twitter is about dialod, debate, etc. is just foolish. You can't have high quality discussions with draconian character limits. That requires nuance, which requires more space. What we need to do is stop pushing Twitter like it is where debate happens. It is just small pointers to debate. It is useful for seeing how people feel or for spreading first-line news quickly before we can move on to actual articles. It's good for creators to promote their stuff. But debate? No. You want good debate? Give people a place where they can actually debate.

Those definitions of right-leaning are way off base with the exception of anti-government. I checked their top 9 list and aside from the deadliest which was clearly right leaning the other 3 supposedly right leaning attacks included a socialist and 2 racists meaning any right leaning beliefs didn't impact their motives so labeling them as such is misleading. If the rest of their article follows such a trend then only 9 out of those 37 labeled as right leaning actually are that while there are 9 more left leaning than stated and another 19 in other.

Hi, Philip. I'm from Indonesia. And when I listen to you (in this video) about Lion Air Flight 610, it's blowing off my mind. Yes, Indonesia has bad reputation about airlines safety. Trust me, it becomes national breaking news in Indonesia. But for us, Lion Air is the worst one. Too much delay, not give a proper safety instructions. You name it. And, when their planes crashes on the sea, I literally just know that this flight is not the safest ones. Thank you so much for this video. As Indonesian, I appreciate it.

On the terrorism statistic: I find it pretty unfair to equate people who hold anti-government beliefs with racists and homophobes. I'd like to see how many of the statistics subjects were of which characteristics. Lumping all of those motivations together as simply right wing is incredibly broad, and renders the entire statistic almost useless. How are we supposed to fix something if we dont know the root of the issue? The statistic can be used as a partisan club though, so eat your heart out, leftists.
