Why People Are Freaking Out About Amy Schumer, NYPD Recall Explained, & Huge Khashoggi Updates C More: Re: the Amy Schumer thing, I think that part of the problem is that white people being the majority and the default allows them the privilege to decide to sit this one out when it comes to certain political things. It's a privilege that POC don't get because for them, it's their very existence that is deemed political or controversial. I think that if you're an ally to a minority, you stand behind them and support them in a way that is vocal and without question. We shouldn't sit back in comfort while they do all the work to fix a society that is built to work against them. We should help do the heavy lifting and right the wrongs within the system that our forefathers built. I would very much be of the side that feels choosing not to comment on something political is also political. Not standing up for POC when they're being mistreated is allowing it to happen. Often times the people who are perpetrating the acts getting protested see the lack of kick back from their own community and feel that that is some sort of sanction or seal of approval. It's our job as white people to stand up for POC who are being oppressed and mistreated. Otherwise we're complicit in their pain. It's not enough to simply say oh, yeah, it's wrong that x, y, or z happening behind closed doors. If we don't use our privilege and platforms to call out poor bahviour and lack of action, how can we expect any change to come about? Those are my thoughts on it, anyway.

I'm not sure why everyone is going in on the NFL for not supporting taking a knee. The studies which have looked into the matter from multiple different ways, both hypothetically and the actual past cases, almost invariably conclude that there is no systemic racism in the police shootings whatsoever. So with that stated people taking a knee and trying to force a change against something which isn't there seem at the best ignorant and at the worst malicious. However people trying to ride off that ignorant protest to virtue signal, to attempt to bully others into something, or in the case of Schumer both are something I have an issue with. And I'm going to assume most guys don't care what a fat woman famous for talking about how disgusting her vagina is for hours on end things is hot, and the incredibly transparent way to manipulate needy men into joining her cause is something I take further issue with. Though it at least seems consistent with the rest of her foul behaviour.

As a light brown girl in a very white State of Maine (originally from New Mexico, I think Amy is completely right in her opinion that white men should stand along side of their brown brother's and sister's rather than be complicit. I usually agree with you Phil, but in this instance I think your white privilege ignorance is showing. I hate to be so blunt, but my ignorance became apparent when I started witnessing how childish and backwards our country has seem to become. I gave us way too much credit. I thought we were better than this, but lately life and America has shown it's true colors. If your complicit to the problem, you are not helping. I think of you as a helper Phil and I hope you think a little more about where Amy might be coming from and why you aren't supporting that. I know I'm a bit late with my opinion, but here is it. If more white people fought for equal rights for all, all would have equal rights.

How interesting would it be if the highest levels of the Saudi regime weren't necessarily lying? What if the op to kill Khashoggi hadn't been signed off on by the Prince? Perhaps they would find themselves in the terrible position of either being forced to remain vague, bringing further suspicion on themselves, or. admitting there may be a larger problem. A problem that could be higher level dissidents of the Saudi regime who greatly disagree with the extremely slow but growing movement to expand personal freedoms to segments of their population that are seen as a threat to more conservative parties. It's not a conspiracy theory I'm trying to push but rather just a thought of what would make a great international spy thriller story.

This honestly seems like a desperate move on Amy Schumers part. Shes becoming less and less relevant as the years and months go along, and shes never mentioned anything political until now. And of all things to bring up she talks about kneeling in the NFL? Something that hasnt been talked about or been in the forefront in a year or so. On top of that she doesnt seem to understand the reason theyre kneeling because shes talking about it as if everyone needs to jab at the NFL rather than jabbing the president and racism like the kneeling is meant to do. The people who are fighting against the NFL are the ones who disagree with kneeling. She seems desperate and uninformed on why people are even kneeling.

Honestly I feel like a bad PDS fan because when I get a notification for a video I read the title and decide if I want to hear about the headline topics. I saw Amy Schumers face and new that you were going to cover that story. I know that its important to some people but at this point it feel over played and tiresome. There are far more important things going on in the world that people may not hear about because of stories about famous people and hot button topics covering most of the air time. Im sure no one at Rogue Rocket will even see this, but just in case I needed to say it. The notification bell works for me, just sometimes the topics are too overdone for me to want hear all over again.

Its interesting. Both Kapernick and Schumer were on the down swing of their careers. Colin went from being the hottest QB to the lowest ranked then to a backup, probably about to be cut. Amy went from being the hottest comedian to bombing her Netflix special and (all but) canceled show on Comedy Central. They both are at the twilight of their careers and Bam social justice warriors Im not agreeing or disagreeing with their causes or methods, Im only saying that both seemed to have identical timing with identical causes. It def seems cynical, but people do desperate things at desperate times. Losing your job has got to be in the top 5 of the desperate list.

Saudi Arabias explanation is BS, you wouldnt send that many guys to just talk with someone and then accidentally kill them. Of course the prince is going to play ignorant because why wouldnt he? And the worse part is there will be little to no real consequences because moneys at stake and that seemingly matters more than lives, you can already see it in the excuses Trump and others are giving. Theyre clearly upset and they dont buy the given story and know others will see its BS as well so they begrudgingly admit it but already are cushioning the coming decision to do little to no meaningful action by talking about how much money and jobs are at stake.

The police should realease every video so people get a real grasp of what police officers respond to and maybe peoples minds will change, like they should release all those child murder videos of kids that have been beat or drowned or tortured to death by their own parents and the videos of the people who have commit suicide on a daily basis or the countless decomposing bodys they walk into after the body has been dead for weeks and the heater has been left on the entire time so body is almost unrecognizable and turning odd colors, but nah lets just stay mad at everything and take a knee during the anthem.

But if you are white and kneel, wouldn't there be a bunch of people saying You are taking our message away from us, we are kneeling because black people are treated with inferiority, therefore when you kneel with us (as a white person, you are taking our inferiority in this matter and diverting from it. It's about us, not you, yada yada. You can't win when it comes to politics, so what Amy Schumer said is too black and white. Maybe the reason the white players didn't kneel is exactly because they didn't want to divert from their black brothers' message, but she doesn't think about that.
