She has done a remarkable job, and I truly hope she is able to continue on her positive, healthy journey. I do hope that her surgeons gave her a Heads Up about lymphedema, a condition that can be caused whenever lymph nodes are removed for any reason. Our lymph nodes are very close to the surface of our skin, and any time some are removed, it can cause the remaining lymph nodes to not be able to flush fluids properly. I know about this because I had a bilateral mastectomies 10 years ago because of breast cancer. They had to remove several lymph nodes in order to check to see if they had cancer in them, and I now have lymphedema. Over the years, I have been amazed at how many people have surgeries where lymph nodes get removed, but they are not told about the possibility of lymphedema.

I was 450# on a 5'2- frame. think Jaba the Hut. My butt had its own Zip Code. all 9 digits. I don't have as much belly skin hanging because I carried most of my weight on my hips, butt and thighs. I do, however, have droopy butt skin for days. And my awesome double D boobs are deflated droopy sacks (Eeuww. If my insurance covered skin removal, I would have it done in a New York minute, but it doesn't. Good luck on your journey!

The problem having Excessive skin is because we needed to first eat less, exercise in Three parts the upper body which is chess and arms, stomach and the lower body, you must burnt from top to bottom, the most difficult part is abdominals area that you must twice than the rest of the other parts, for those who wanted to go slim do more at the abdominal areas.

Amazing story. My new wife is almost in the same position. She has lost alot of weight and now she has extra skin. She wants a tummy tuck but I want her to get as far as she can naturally because she she has mad it this far naturally. I gave her a goal and said if she meets it, we will cut the stubborn rest off. She likes it.

That's the only trouble when we lose excess weight the overstretched skin is an issue. It must cost thousands of dollars for the surgery in USA. In Britain we have to prove its causing serious psychological issues ruining our lives to get a free NHS op to rectify the damage as its classed as cosmetic surgery.

She looked better before she lost the weight. Now she's just a crumpled up piece of paper and even surgery is not going to make her look that much better because of all the scars. So what was the point? Never should have gained the weight to begin with. Ugly can't be fixed

I think its great but not sure you will ever be happy. I hope you are. As I age I hate the way I look and I can't change that, never going to have the body I had when I was 25.

Great for her. I do wonder though that the 'extra skin' is really still a lot of subcutaneous fat that could be lost without the surgery, eventually.

She STILL needs to remove the excess skin from her arms and upper thighs. She clearly only removed the excess skin from her stomach.
