AT his heaviest, Stephen Campolo from New York, weighed 305lbs and was struggling as an obese teenager. Aged 13, and Stephen was 100lbs overweight with zero confidence and got bullied by other children. Stephen told Truly: -Being overweight was a death sentence. When you're young, you're a teenager, people judge you on your appearance. I got bullied a lot, I got called fat boy. My last name is Campolo, so kids would call me fat Polo-. Stephen was fed up, no girls wanted to talk to him and he was even rejected by his crush. When Stephen broke his finger at 14, the doctor delivered some life changing news. -The doctor told my dad 'your son is clinically obese, he has to make some type of lifestyle changes or he's going to have some serious health complications'. So if I hadn't broken my finger and had to go to the doctor, I would have never known that I was clinically obese. In order to make a difference, Stephen made lifestyle changes, stuck to a strict new diet and ran every night. -I lost a bunch of weight, I wanted to build my body, be confident with myself, feel strong, feel sexy and feel confident!

Very nice. So I have a question all my life I've been very skinny I can not gain lots of weight if I do I will quickly loose it. I have no muscle gain and here tiered of being that skinny guy I've gotten comments that from both guys girls that I am good looking/attractive BUT TOO SKINNY and yap they all go after well fat / husky and or the guys with the muscle / 6packs. Go figure some trying to loose it some others trying to gain it. No one seems to be comfortable under their own skin. Sure I would like to gain FAT/Muscle. On the mean time I am exercising knowing it would never happen because my body is not built that way. So yap I keep being that SKINNY guy BUT I am comfortable under my own skin. Every one else can keep passing me by.

This guy-s story is amazing!
At 2: 40 - how would weight training help with loose skin?
My understanding is that the loose skin is separate from the muscles, weight training will only work the muscles, and will not change the loose skin. For a large amount of loose skin, skin removal surgery would be the only option.
Correct me if I-m wrong!

This entire view is a total lie. Why would you show his childhood pictures as the -Before- and then suddenly his after is as a grown man in the gym. His real -before- picture is right at the end at 5: 04. He barely looks any different to his after pic.

My problem was exactly the opposite, I was skeletal skinny, skin and bones, I was bullied and very unpopular, i trained, gained weight and muscle, now Im very attractive but humble and got no time for bullies

Amazing. How inspiring. He is so knowledgable and I'm so glad he has lost this weight to not only benefit his physical health but to also help his mental health too. Well done Stephen.

I go to the gym often. And see mostly men working out. There are always a few women at the gym. But most of the women are at the restaurants stuffing their face and it shows.

Women are the ultimate bodyshamers! They won-t date big dudes period! Take notes men. Women-s actions speak louder than words.

Inspiring story! Super awesome. Just be careful with that super heavy weight. Look up a body building named Ronnie Coleman. ..

Very awesome transformation but that was 385 on the smith machine squat. The bar weighs 25lbs on the smith machine
reply

almost thumbs down for using the smith machine for squatting. do regular barbell squats, has even more effect.
reply

need to leave that smith machine alone freeweights are alot harder to lift, squat you use stabilizing muscles
reply

he was just a late bloomer anyways. he wasnt that overweight. the haircut didnt help him or the baby face.
