Having met her husband two years into a 13-year prison sentence for attempted murder, Carla, 30, and Erik Aguirre, 31, from California, were understandably excited to be reunited on the outside - having spent only around 50 days of their decade-long relationship together. But their joy was short-lived as on the day of his release Erik was sent to an immigration detention centre, before being deported back to his native Mexico - a country he hadn-t lived in since the age of 10. The couple now live together in Tijuana, Mexico and say that while the switch from 15-minute daily phone calls to 24: 7 cohabitation took some adjusting to, they are now happily settled and planning a family together. Erik says that Carla-s love changed his outlook on life and the pair now share their lives on their YouTube channel, which Carla set up while Erik was incarcerated to help other people with family members or partners in jail. ahh LOOK WHO'S DELETING COMMENTS ON I L L E G A L I M M I G R A T I O N
research how many KIDS are being brought over and t r a f f i c k e d, the c u l t s, g a n g s, how p o l i t i c i a n s create tragedies to implement laws and regulations to -fix- them, so they can reap the benefits of full control once they capitalize off of enough tragedies. Think of the people FROM M E X I C O that it's hurting! Living in those conditions at the b o r d e r, being T R A F F I C K E D, A B U S E D, living in poverty because so many of them were invited over that we can no longer help our own L E G A L citi zens, let alone anyone else! Just research it

How come they did not know that he was going to be deported? How come there was no information about it available right from the beginning?
With the information they both could have anticipated it. Such information is important for successful resocialization.

I think they truly love one another and who are we to judge anything. Atleast they have live that-s more then I have. I admire their determination and you can tell he really adores and loves her by the way he touches her and looks at her it-s really sweet.

You know you are (or once were) a straight DOPE FIEND when you watched the whole damn video but what you focused on the most was that split second image at 0: 20. I hate my brain! So glad I don't have to live that way ever again. 8 years strong -

He could have really accelerated his education in prison, ya? He still talks like he's from the IE in middle school. But I'm sure he has exercised his spirit regardless and together in TJ they can thrive. Just focus on gratitude. NOT the lack!

She looks a lot like the other trans women in a very similar -Truly story- I thought it was a follow on from the other story. Anyway I hope they last and he stays out of trouble. it-s a long time for someone to wait so don-t f--k it up

I won't lie I clicked on this video with the intention of judging her, but once I've watched it I realized how wrong I had been they seem like a very lovely couple. Wishing them the best

They obviously have a lot of love for each other. He was young and involved in gangs now he-s older and settled he deserves to have love. They seem happy and good for each other

I moved to Mexico from the USA for a better life when I was young. I could never imagine living in the states again. Especially these days, it-s insane up there

That-s true love baby. People can say whatever they want about them. They obviously truly committed to one another and were determined to Make it Work-

Such a sweet story. I waited for my husband. (boyfriend at the time) for 2 years nothing compared to her lol. Now here we are married for almost 11 years.

Maybe I am being naive. But Eric doesn't seem like such a bad guy. And they seem to genuinely love and care about one another. I wish them all the best.
reply

There are very beautiful cities in Mexico, why would you choose to live in such an ugly one? No way that looks so ghetto. move to another one.
reply

These give me hope for finding someone cause I'm a normal caring guy and if she can love an attempted murderer I'm sure I'll find someone.
reply

Outsider lookn in. seems like shes taking care of him. i dont see love in his eyes. i see help. I hope im wrong. i wish love upon everyone
reply

I just hope he's good to her
To be frank im happy eric is out of jail and is being a positive human being.
Bless them.

Ive clearly never been in love like this because i would never wait 10 years and then move to mexico for any man.
reply

But even if he wasn't deported life with him would not be a rose garden. There is nothing romantic in coming out of prison
reply

That was an inside job if they was going to deport them they should have sent them back home to do his time.
reply

I can tell she's drawn to his bad boy charms. The more messed up they are the more tantalizing they get.
