2nd and 3rd degree burns are some of the most painful thing that someone can endure. This woman is tough, she is resilient and I'm in awe. In late November of 2005 I was in an accident that burned 20 percent of my body by boiling water. I was transported to Bringham and Woman's hospital in Boston by helicopter because they have one of the best burn units in MA. Sometimes that level of pain can change a person. It's still something I struggle with today but gratitude helps alot. My situation could have been so much worse if it wasn't for the amazing doctors and nurses that helped me. Watching stories like this just brings me back there. I can physically feel other burn victims pain and I'm reminded of just how lucky I am. This woman is a force, tenacious and I admire her for putting herself and her story out there, it holds special meaning to someone like myself.

I agree that it-s really cool that he -stuck around- but despite her physical injuries-. she deserves his as much credit for fighting and moving forward w a positive attitude-. Edit either way it-s a very heartwarming story!

The fact he stayed by her side the whole time instead of leaving is so amazing. If only all relationships were like that. I like her personality and not letting it get to her despite how difficult and painful it has to be.

Thank God She is alive, God loves her. I am very inspired by her willpower, what a beautiful girl she is, when I saw her for the first time, she again brought me back to a life that I was already ready to leave

Even though I-m not a burned survivor, I still have any of my family members or anybody I know is a burned survivor I will stay with them. I will not leave them. I will sleep in the hospital if I have to
