WHERE do you turn for skin advice? For 22-year-old Beccy Havercroft, the answer was TikTok! The single mum from Edinburgh has struggled with acne for the past three years. By January 2021, Beccy-s skin had become so bad that she decided to post a video on TikTok, asking for advice on what to do. She told Truly: -At first it was nerve-racking because you will always get people who have a negative opinion. Overnight Beccy had over 100, 000 views with hundreds of comments offering support and suggesting she try roaccutane. Since then, Beccy has continued to use TikTok to document her acne journey. She explains: -Posting my videos made it more fun; I was trying to make light of it. Despite her acne troubles Beccy uses social media to encourage and empower her

I think we have to normalize acne and to see acne as a health issue more than a -look issue- I've never had acne problems but I remember getting a pimple or 2 always in the middle of my forehead or my nose and really big and red, and I'm extremely pale so it was pretty noticeable, I didn't care because I knew it was normal, however, my mom used to bully me a lot saying I didn't wash my face enough, or I wasn't eating well (I was eating the same thing as her or my siblings so) and sometimes I felt dirty because of those nasty comments. Growing up with friends that bad acne problems I was always trying to be supportive and also telling them it was normal and that they needed to see a doctor to check what the problem was as even though for some people is just a skin issue for others like my sister is an hormonal problem. So if you have acne and you feel you're not pretty, get rid of that idea that other people placed into your mind, you're beautiful- you're not your acne, you are a precious human being and you can always show love to yourself looking up for your heslth.

Gently rub a light layer of olive oil all over face each and every night before sleeping. Sleep with it on till the morning, wash off. Put a dilution of apple cider vinegar on your face after wards. Do this for a week and you should start to see a dramatic difference. Also, a light layer of honey every morning on your face for at least an hour, then rinse off with cool water without using any soap or cleanser. This also worked very good for me. I had acne with cysts all my life, but when ever I trued these 2 regimes it worked for me. I hope it works for you too.

I had acne all of my life. People can be mean and rude. People call you names when they don't know how it affects you? I have a combination skin also acne on my body. Using different products you might think it might help clear your skin. But sometimes it works. sometimes it dont. Acne can come from multiple things. Diet, hormones, not have clean skin etc. She is brave. I salute her for telling her story.

I used to have skin this bad maybe even worse in high school. My skin would title purple and I could barely sleep on my side because my face would be in pain just having my cheek on a pillow. I got rid of every mirror in my room and avoided pictures. I'm glad that people now can celebrate their differences with an online community. I wish I had that kind of support back then.

Your story broke my heart. I had to take our daughter to three dermatologists without help. Until I picked a young dermatologist, she told my daughter it would be gone in 6 months. Accutane was a life-saving prescription for my teens. Their skin was cleaned up and they smiled a lot more now. Accutane guarantees once your cystic acne & blackheads are gone, it will stay gone.

I had terrible cystic acne as well, all through my teen years. Tried to hide behind my hair, used a ton of makeup which just made it look worse, wouldn't go swimming or to sleepovers with friends. This kind of acne is painful both physically and emotionally. She seems lovely and I'm so glad things are improving for her!

I have the same problem when I was 17, it was so bad that I had to wear mask to school everyday for a whole semester and taking it off for lunch is challenging. But my mum did not give up on me, I have to maintain a strict diet, avoid food that is bad for my acnes. Without her help, my face wouldn't have been better

I had really bad acne that kept getting worse and worse after my first pregnancy. The only thing that worked for me finally was giving up all of the chemicals, face washes and soap and just using warm water and being gentle with my skin. Had to stop touching and it actually cleared really quickly.

Aw. Poor baby. But it is not the worst I have ever seen. Check out severe cystic acne pops from China. Talk about bad acne. Yikes! -But they really do need help from someone to treat it. I am happy that yours seems to have cleared up for you. A good dermatologist can help if it happens again.

I struggled with acne as a teen for what felt like forever. I still have like holes in my face from my acne, but my skin is much much better now. I can't shine the pain this wan went through, having acne can really diminish your self confidence and mess with your head.

I had the same problem when I was 20 years old. I find out the cause when I went to my gynecologist and he said I had a big cyst in my ovaries. I had a surgery to have the cysts removed. After 4 days my acne was gone. It-s serious, because it-s painful.

I would look into DNRS or Gupta or other programs for brain retraining - the outer is a reflection of what-s going on in the inside -. pregnancy really triggers a lot of things- please look into this. you are experiencing acne but this is NOT you -

She went viral bc is so beautiful, not bc of the acne. When she said she doesn't let her son touch her face. that was so sad bc that's how babies bond with their mother through touch & he was probably trying to help fix mommy's owies. -

She should try going vegan. I knew someone with worse skin than this he tried everything. One day he decided to go vegan and after about 8 months his skin was clear - might not work for everyone but worth a try if you have a problem.

Acne is a health problem, it-s not just about -looks-. Why don-t the doctors take the intarnal causes of it more seriously? I also have acne, not this bad, but I want to heal it. It-s a symptom of some internal issues-

Her blonde hair and blue eyes are ridiculously beautiful! She may have an allergy, could be to a certain type of food. I have known of others with this condition.

Look up the videos on pantothenic acid. It's vitamin B5. TRUST ME! Cured my son. Wish I would have known about it when I was young! What a miracle!

I am tried of hearing the question of the people. they ask me-what's happened with your face- or it's look ugly. I can't bear it anymore

I'm surprised that even with accutane her skin is not completely cleared up. Despite this she seems to be making the best of it.

If it was a larger set woman and slightly less beautiful most people in the comments wouldn't be saying such nice things

On the show The Doctor's there was a young man whose very bad skin condition cleared up when he went on a vegan diet.
