I hated my hair as a trans woman - that changes today - shake my beauty

KRISTINA, from Richmond, Virginia, transitioned at 20, and although there-s lots she loves about herself she has one big insecurity - her thinning hair and receding hairline. Even though she transitioned at an early age she was very aware that her hair isn-t as thick as it was when she was a teen. She used to never leave the house without a beanie. It-s been nearly eight years since Kristina transitioned but she-s only been to the hairdressers twice and they were both bad experiences for her. She-s been eyeing up a few lgbt+ hairdressers locally and, today, she-s hopeful that she can finally have a haircut that makes her feel confident

If u hair loss is from thyroid issues it can be reversed by going on whole food diet & bilberry & black current tea you mentioned that your hair started thinning when you took the hormones hormone changes can cause thyroid issues so I would try the t e a and I I've actually used it I'm not trans but I have hormone issues that cause thyroid issues I recommend going to a professional thyroid doctor at a alternative testing center because the regular tests they do for thyroid disease is a one size fit all and everybody's thyroid levels aren't a one size fit all everybody's normal thyroid is different but no matter what your test says just try the tea and see if it helps cuz it helped me maybe you can help you I just want to say you're absolutely pretty just as a compliment

Wow she is beautiful! - I am all for being yourself. Her hair looks amazing! -I-m a woman and my hair is thinning in the front. My Mom lost over half her hair, so it-s inherited. I use minoxidil and mane and tail shampoo. I think it is helping. She looks so good! --My husband has lost all his hair and my sons are starting to lose theirs. I told them we may have to change our name to the Bald family soon! Lol.

I have hair loss because of thyroid and female hormone issues and can totally relate to being really self conscious how it looks sometimes. I hate how my hair will sit in certain places and although it still looks like I have a lot of hair it just feels completely different in the temple and hair line area. The confidence she had after the cut really was amazing. She was glowing!

Beautiful, before and after. I feel you. - I used to cover my hair as well and it weighed so heavy on my mind. One day I said, f- it and I removed that -security blanket- and exposed my vulnerabilities and although it took time, I finally felt like how I felt on the inside. Thanks for sharing your story! It shows the world that there are others who feel the same and you're not alone.

I wish you'd put the guy who actually really looks like a woman on but who so regrets his decision and now he is sick from all the hormones, has his bits cut off and said he wishes his parents and doctors wouldn't have made it so easy. Just dressing up as a woman is a transvestite, you are not a woman with the most male part in the universe attached to you. Nice hair.

I know a girl who-s schiz and thinks people in her basement are coming through the walls to get at her. So I don-t appear mean, I agree with her that yes, they exist and are trying to get you. She is so happy someone believes her even though there is zero evidence of what she-s saying. Because it-s all in her head. Same with this dude.

LOL I am a CIS woman and my hairline is like ten times worse than hers. And it's not like I started losing my hair suddenly it's been like that for as long as I can remember-- All the men and women on my dad's side of the family have male pattern baldness and huge foreheads --

I'm confused coz on the bio they wrote that she started transitioning at the age of 20 but he said it was at the age of 22. And then he said it's been 7 years now of her transition and there they wrote 8 years.

I don-t like it but if she likes it great for her, I didn-t see any curl pattern so the stylist was a bit delusional I think maybe like a rich color would have made the hair look a lot thicker
reply

Watched this on Snapchat wondering if it was a joke. She totally does not look like she has male pattern baldness, she has a smaller forehead than most girls I know lol

Am I the only one who was very underwhelmed by the outcome? I feel like the stylist could have used a product to lift her hair in the front and given her some fringe.

Her hair definitely wavy/curly. She just needed a good protein treatment and good product to bring out her waves. I know she didn't really want to loose her length

You look awesome girl! I don't understand this inclusive thing. hell money is money I damn sure wouldn't care how a person lives their life, its NOBODY'S business -

To anyone suffering from hairloss/ receding hairlines, wearing hats all the time will only make your problem worse. You're suffocating your hair follicles!

Omg it really completely changed the look
Of thickness of her hair wow im
Blown away the hairdresser knew what she was talking about!

Might I ask whats her pronouns? I'm guessing she/her but I called her by they/them a couple times out of habit and feel bad.

Male pattern boldness, happens to the majority of men. He could get a transplant, that initially works though.

If you didn-t say u transitioned I wouldn-t have even guessed. Long hair short hair you-re fabulous!

If a past haircut can be so negative, I can only imagine how triggering her prostate exam is gonna be.
