Not sure why anyone would celebrate this. As impressive as it is, you have to realize that this is their entire life. They do nothing else at all; they don't learn Chinese literature or English or math or science or history. The training from a very young age - as soon as a child is recognized as a potential athelete - is brutal. It is all for the greater glory of teacher, school, party, and country.

When are the Olympics going to be in China again? I didn't think anything could top Bejing, but this would certainly do it. Especially if the had drone shots on giant screens showing the action from above.
