Marilyn Monroe: The Iconic Blonde - Full Biography (Some Like It Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes) Uhhh. And now about the woman Grace who took her in and -fell in love with- her and -raised her as her own daughter- turning around and taking her to an orphanage because her new man told her to! Who wouldnt have been majorly fd up by that (and I fear the story is going to get worse from here? I dont see how she had a chance in hell of growing up to be a happy, secure, well-adjusted human being after a childhood like that, none of which was in any way her fault! Never mind how men treated her when she was a grown woman shame on the way the adults in her life treated her when she was a child and truly helpless! I dont see how anyone could say that wasnt tragic. Especially back then without many safeguards in place and/or counseling offered etc.\r\n

I wanted to keep listening but I got so annoyed you need to learn how to pronounce things properly and to actually get the name of something correct for example Marilyn wasn't in a movie called Nicaragua she was in a movie called Niagara and you need to learn how to pronounce Darryl Zanuck's name and it's irritating to have you keep referring to her as the girl say her name I had to take my earbuds out and stop listening

I always believed Marilyn had it way to hard
Adults in her life as a kid were not good,
People who are supposed to support, care, love and encourage her lacked those qualities.
And as an actress the men were no better.
I always wished she had it better and lived happy ever after.
But this game of life we all are in is nothing but a rotten test.
R. i. p Marilyn
You are still loved. -

Such a beautiful woman, in both body and soul. What a way to leave us, and to this day we'll never know the truth. Men never respected her in Hollywood and its still happening today. She was captivating but so broken at the same time. Heartbreaking that deep down her eyes never showed true happiness.

-The girl- is a term of objectification. It's like nails on a chalkboard every time this narrator uses it. Marilyn Monroe was the stage name of a beautiful young woman, Norma Jean, who was determined to act without selling out to the perverts she met along the way. She desperately needed real love.

It disgusts me how she was treated by men, especially Arthur Miller who proved to be an ambitious, intellectual snob of a predator. He was a scumbag, like most all the men who relished in exploiting her. I will never read any of his works again. I cannot separate the man (person) from their art.

Heffner was a dirty pig. He should have given her the fame & $$ she deserved that he made off her image. I wish she would have sued him, even though I know it was a different time. But if she was candid about it anyway, it would have made her Ultra famous earlier while she was still alive.

Marlyin is smart woman, lovely and super ahead of her time, she went through un imaginable pain she never deserved disrespect those boys who projected there insecurities and hate on her. none of them can even match her legacy. even in 2023, she is an Icon. am so heart broken for her

Oh no ---. Less than 4 minutes into watching this, and I have heard something sadder than anything I've ever heard before about Marilyn's life - the neighbor shooting her dog (and only friend) when she was a little girl ---. Nothing worse than that -

No telling how many aholes took advantage of her. Being in Hollywood is tough. She was a candle in the wind. She needed to be taken care of not used and abused. Typical of males in Hollywood and others in high places.

22: 58 -And you remember that long shot in the movie Nicaragua NICARAGUA! -I had to watch it again to hear if I heard right. And that's the second that you lost any credibility and I moseyed on pod'ner.

The narrator mispronounces the words -Zanuck-, -Niagara-, -Wilder-, -A Streetcar Named Desire- & others. It mars the quality of a rather comprehensive & otherwise well-researched video.

With a -family- like that, I am surprised she lived as long as she did. My Dad absolutely loved her. and I can see why. Classic beauty, before plastic surgery ruined Hollywood.
reply

So she cuts people out of her life to get ahead she sleeps with a married man, but when people treat her that way she is a poor victim. I-m sorry you can-t have it both ways
reply

Narrator it's Niagara, not Nicaragua! Plus one photo with Sinatra is of Kim Novak. Several of these narrations mispronounce names of places and even people's names.

MM is a great example that orphans can find success that you can make it without anyone. You only need to have that crazy drive, work ethic and determination.

Men took advantage of her kindness, beauty, talented nature and feminine nature. I hope she is happy after life. God protect her.

23: 03 Niagra, as in the Falls. Not Nicaragua! - And Darrell Zanuck is pronounced ZA-nuk. not Za- NOOK. Enjoyable doc. Thank you -
reply

(At 23: 00) Um, it's Niagara (as in, -Niagara Falls-, not Nicaragua. And 23: 35- That's a picture of Rita Hayworth, not Monroe.
reply

I think Joe Demagio was the only one that really loved her. Her Dad should have been ashamed of himself.
