I'm sorry, but I'm very skeptical. I went to former president Benjamin Harrison's house and the tour guide claimed to have a hand written letter from Helen Keller, written when she was 11. How does someone who can't see, or hear, translate finger taps into things she has never seen, heard, or knew existed? Im being serious, and if anyone has answers I would like to learn. My point is not to be negative, it's to understand how that process is conducted. If you have never visually seen an elephant, and you have never heard anyone talk about elephants, how can tapping in fingers first explain what an elephant is? How does a blind and deaf child know the presidents name, address, wife's name and her illness?

Helen keller was very intelligent:
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched-they must be felt with the heart.
Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much-
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow-
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light-
The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision-
What I am looking for is not out there. It is in me-
It-s wonderful to climb the liquid mountain of the sky. Behind me and before me is God and I have no fears-

That b---- was lying ain't no way you're telling me she was the one person on the planet and the history of existence who is deaf and blind who could communicate and her beliefs aligned exactly with her teachers' beliefs and if the teacher was speaking for her how could she speak in a normal cadence if Helen was writing words out in her hand

My mother was the youngest of 15 kids. Her mother went blind when my mom was about 6 months old. I think her mother was about 43 when she went blind. But my mom used to always tell the story, that Helen Keller came to visit her mother once. I always thought that was kinda cool, considering they were just farmers in Northern Ohio.

What's amazing is that she had all the exact same social and political views as Anne Sullivan. It's also amazing that Anne was the only person that could decipher all of Hellen's communications. What a true genius Hellen was to be able to graduate college when it took hours to get through a single page of text.

I think the cultural narrative conveyed through Helen Keller is in how our liberal democracy can give everyone a fair chance, equal access, and even the most disadvantaged can be redeemed. But the idea is to bring them up and not just pander to an identity.

Every second just watching her or hearing her when she DID speak is a blessing in this life.
-Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content- - my Favorite Hellen Keller quote

As a child with minimal brain dysfunction, school was very difficult for me. One teacher read a book about Helen Keller. I was inspired to attend university because of this. Previously I thought this would have been impossible.

How does she have an oldschool Victorian accent if she's never heard a Victorian accent to mimmick? I don't understand how her voice/ accent sounds like it's from these times when she has never heard the accent to mimmick

A most awesome individual. My favorite quote by Helen Keller is, -There-s nothing worse than having sight and no vision. - Beautiful lady and pretty child too. Praise God for her life and legacy. Rest in peace angel.

My older brother used to tell me that Helen Keller hid underneath my bed and would rip my ears off when I'm sleeping so that she could obtain them for her collection. I believed this for about a decade.

It can also be said that the supposed word of Hellen perhaps possibly not hers. But perhaps these words are the brainchild of the person working with her.

Helen Keller's story is fraudulent. Sullivan used her to make a ton of money from the wealthy Keller family.
