So the weird thing in our eyes where some flesh is sticking out is the same thing with the pelican eyelid or whatever its called (not sure if same but i think its close) when i learned about this think about swimming and opening your eyes with those babies on, would be cool imo

what happens if their pouch rips apart? i recently watched a video where a turtle broke the pelican beak badly. can the beak heal? or is it basically a death sentence no more hunting with that beak

Wait, air can be stored in a pelicans bones while diving?
And I never knew pelicans had nictitating membranes in their eyes of that their wing bones were so delicate. Nature has its own rules.

I love love love pelicans! so wonderful to finally see their faces up close. I see them often and always think they look very like their dinosaur ancestors, more than other birds.

Excellent video with sharp closeups. Just enough information to satisfy my curiosity. At 1: 30, I like the way it transitions smoothly from the real bill to the bone.

Pelicans are the best
I found one in the parking lot of a restaurant when we were about to leave. Homie was curled up in a little ball warming up

Ill never forget the day I saw a brown pelican on top of a bathroom while I was at summer camp in elementary school. It flew away majestically.

no changes in 30 million years means evolution is bunk science and fresh eyes in academia are starting to see through that flawed logic.

I sort of wish this wouldve stated for children because yes I wanted to learn but it was kind of cringe as an adult to be honest.

Fun fact: We also have a clear eyelid. Its that tiny triangle in your eye. But. birbs decided to use them instead!
