Isn't Nestie overpumping millions of gallons of water from the forests in California? That may be why the pines are having a problem with the beetles. Not enough water for them. People should look into how much water the pines need, and only pump the surplus. The killing of the environment doesn't help anyone. The lumber and forestry industry there should take note of this, as they long mastered sustainability ( not by choice, but you need tree's to make lumber, so more trees are good ) And their the only ones with enough clout and $$$ to challenge the nestie juggernaut.

Should've paid more attention to this video few months ago when I first saw it. Now we lost one of our 80 feet tall pine trees in the yard and I'm scared that they are gonna spread to other trees. It literally costs thousands of dollars to chop down the dead tree.

Wish GOOD HEARTED people would hop in the video game enterprises and make cool SIMULATOR GAMES teaching our children stuff like this. There is so much to work with here it could would SHOULD be inspiring to tech folk to make money teaching our youngins.

I never had respect for thpse God dang beetles! Especialyy the flying types! Menace to sociaety i tell ya! However. maybe they test the tree's fitness so they police the jaspers genepool health this way! Who knows!
