What I find crazy is that most modern animals have existed for over a million years. They existed when some of these beasts were still around, and today we only have the chance to see a fraction of the biodiversity our planet once had. Let's protect what we have now.

It's amazing how even sometimes so close, there still were many bizarre animals at the time, and thinking about it, if you show an animal from today to lets say an alien or just someone that never left his country, they would probably find them bizarre too

Australopithecus is actually a bit bigger than I thought. It's the height of a lot of modern humans, though I am sure this is the MAXIMUM height of Australopithecus and a lot of individuals were even shorter.

Love it! .but Cenozoic is broad period spanning 66mil. years many animals died and new evolved during the time, you might want to divide the periods into - Paleogene, Neogene, Quaternary.

Great vid sucks we don-t know what they really look like other than their bone structure. They probably were more colorful but we-ll never know

I love this! And I realized how HUGE the daeodon is! I play a game about these animals and I thought the daeodon was only up to a humans knees.

It-s crazy just thinking about the barbecues in this time period, and even crazier that we survived these beasts. like mammoths for dinner!

Let me categorize it: shoe it away, give it a kick, throw rocks, throw a spear, everyone throw all the spears, run like hell

Cenozoic era is my favorite because I see lots of cool looking creatures like the saber tooth tiger on my Jurassic world game

I'm glad there aren't any Gigantopithecus alive now. If there were, we would probably have a King Kong scenario!
