Make your own ESC BLDC Motor Driver (Part 2)
video description
I have watched and read a number of accounts of ESC designs, and a number of people have commented that it was a long project with lots of pitfalls along the way. Software is always a problem, especially if it has to handle setup of the various modes, but would you say there's any difficulty in getting the hardware working? It looks quite straight-forward (is that naive)

I have seen some of the comments below, I am curious what are the individual components that make up for a good ESC. Some of the ESC are so small based on the current rating of the motor being driven, I would assume that most ESC use the same components with beefier mosfets for larger motors. So does a commercial ESC use a micro? Or is it purely analog? or both?

Great videos, concise and packed with juicy info! Even though I have experience with microcontrollers and driving motors, not being an electrical engineer, I can't profess to understand everything here on a first viewing. Probably benefit from a slowing down by a factor of 2.

Great video as always! I'm wondering if you could use the signal from the virtual ground point directly with only one comparator instead of 3 separate pins? I have used that star point to time a current source BJT, but I have no idea if this would work with Arduino. Any thoughts?

Hi Scott, Very informational video. Could you please make a video explaining how to make an ESC using MOSFET's and MOSFET drivers instead of L6234 IC? L6234 is great but the DIP version of it is no longer manufactured and the peak current of the IC is also kind of low.

Congratulations Scott for you video it's very instructive. I am wondering to know if it's possible to have mire details ( the arduino program and the schematics of the electronic board )about this project to realise it by myself

Have you tried to find out how to reduce noise when running a brushless motor? It is the speed controller, but not sure what in the controller making a noisy (sound) motor. How is the db on this motor when running low speed?

Can you pls tell what goes for every pin in the aurdino nano. I couldnt understand one damn thing from the schematic. My fault, but pls, this is the most perfect video but Im not able to completely understand it.

This video has saved me! I didn't understand why my motor didn't run continuously, and at last I found this video that is the only on youtube which explain why! Thanks a lot

9: 29 MCP8025 huh.
I read its datasheet and looks similar to L6234 but in SMD package. Seems promising for a new DIY BLDC motor Driver. Please make it a video PLEASE
