10 TOTALLY WRONG Things You Learned in History Class - History Countdown Joy: See when I was in school a long time ago I was the kind of kid that got in trouble not really in trouble but I annoyed the teachers because a lot of things didn't make sense I was the WHY kid and I wanted to know everything about everything. You know how many times I got kicked out of class for like 5-10 minutes just to stop annoying the teacher I should say well I did it with a lot of my teachers so yeah with all of my teachers anyway I got kicked out for a bit so that I could stop being what they called quote and quote disruptive to the other kids so history was interesting to make in that fact of why why why why and now finding out more and more that history's to spend nothing but a lie I'm just so glad to know that I kept asking why and this is funny that's why I don't like to be lied to and all throughout history we've been lied to so in all reality like history is nothing but lies don't believe anything history tells you cuz now that my daughter is 11 she's going to learn the same garbage that I'm going to be reading teaching her the real truth

None of these are new to me but I graduated HS in 1980. We were actually taught to think for ourselves utilizing truths ie facts, instead of feelings.
Kids in the USA over the past 20 years have had their heads filled with more reimagined societal history bullsh! t that they can-t function normally. Imagine what it-ll be like in another 20 years. Mush filled robots who only have an over-inflated sense of self importance.
We are doomed if something isn-t done NOW. I taught my children facts. What are you teaching yours?

A new modern myth is that all Confederates were evil slave owners and the Union were Angels coming to save the day. The Union had 4 slave states in 1861, 5 in 1862, and 7 in 1864.
No matter what side you chose in 1861, slavery was legal. 70% of the south didn-t have slavery, so most chose to fight for home and not slavery. Many confederates were anti slavery like Beauregard, Longstreet, Mosby, Maury, Castleman, Stephen Lee, Robert E Lee, Jackson, Ford, and so on.

You are wrong about the Puritans and their celebration to offer thanks. William Bradford's writings are clear that they did come together with Ousamequin Massasoit and his people. The Wampanoags eventually brought three deer to the feast. The relationship was not perfect, but during the lifetime of Massasoit and William Bradford, it did last. And the Puritans did have feasts. Fasts were for specific religious reasons, but not for marking celebrations.

When I was in the 8th grade, I asked a substitute teacher why the father bird (the male) couldn-t sit on the nest and keep the eggs warm. I was promptly told to go home and have a talk with my father about the birds and the bees. I know teaching is difficult, but junior high school students can be ruthless.

Mathew Bacon Sellars flew before the Wright Brothers. As a matter of fact, the Wright Brothers visited him and stole his air dynamics research papers. President William Howard Taft appointed Sellars over his Aerospace program that later became NASA. All in a book by his granddaughter, Barbara Sellars.

No. This is even wrong. He took credit for Nikola Tesla's work. And no. What happened on Thanksgiving was Natives showed them how to grow crop and hsrvest so they could survive long could winters. During the feast, Pilgrims brought some of their food. Basically, the first potluck. Lol

History is his story. Also the biggest lie we were taught in school is that the pyramids were tombs for pharaoh's and were built on shear man power. Start looking up how much each stone weighs and see how that theory quickly falls apart.

75% of what we are told on most things is wrong. 75% of the stuff atributed to Einstein was done by other people. It goes on and on and on.

I read somewhere that cake back then were the crumbs in bread pans. So saying -Let them eat cake- was let them eat crumbs.

End of slavery did mean end of racism.
