10 MILITARY INVENTIONS WE USE EVERY DAY - History Countdown Jack: You guys forgot to include the internet. It was originally developed by DARPA in 1973 as a way for the Pentagon to communicate with it's deployed units. It was made available to the public in 1989. However the internet didn't have it's first web browser until 1993, when Mosaic was released to the public by Tim Berners-Lee.

might be semantics but its kind of a stretch to say the military invented duct tape when the inventor did it on her own not using military or government products or equipment or ideas. more accurate to say she invented it on her own for the military.

I remember those kids cuz I had to have one as a kid on the EpiPen came out public use in the late 90s cuz it was very expensive before then. Even get one and a poor person like myself could afford it they're still outrageously High

Actually the price of freeze-drying has dropped is a freeze dryer is only we can buy a freeze dryer machine for your personal use if you have the money a lot cheaper than it used to be when this video probably came out

You missed the Internet that came about because of ARPANET that was a DoD project. Good video that shows how computers as we understand them today came about through military research and development.

One military invention that people keep everyday is our right to bear arms. There are globalist scumbag elitists who would love to disarm the population and subjugate us.

I wanted to say kevlar and nomex but no. originally, kevlar was lightweight replacement for steel bracing in vehicle tires and nomex was for electrical insulation.

How about Velcro?
Also I've noticed that many of your Videos are hot available in Sweden. WHY? We in Sweden also wanna have access to your great videos!

Just remember kiddos.
We, the general public, will always receive the sanitized version once the government is done with it and always decades later.

Duct tape works on everything EXCEPT what it's designed for. It's garbage for doing duct work. Aluminum tape is what you need for duct work.
reply

Oh yeah super glue and duck tape is what the landing craft was put together with for the moon mission until Stanley Kubrick fixed the problem
reply

What about jetengines- were first built in Germany for military-use. Or rockets. Many things were first used in the military
reply

If there's ever a new invention, it's 1st used to be military not industrial and not ever for philanthropic activities.
reply

Duct tape was not invented by the military It was invented by a woman who happened to have two sons in the military,

Radar. Probably more important than the zipper, which was not specifically developed for the military.
