No Adultery- out doors, permitted physical affection is a peck kiss a hand hold or a hug and private parts must be covered at all times (some dont want to see. Dont approach God about matrimony requests if you lied and manipluated your spouse- broke them up from lies, cost them life experiences. You did not love this person so much that you could not live without them. thats not love- that's manipulating to suit your own desires. If you cant obtain something with only honesty- then you are not at the level needed to obtain it. There is a huge difference between the twoo.

Also this video proves that the P-47 thunderbolt was more than just a ground pounder
People don't realize it also performed better than the Merlin engine Mustang at altitude
Also the P47D 25RE which was equipped with a paddle propeller could match the rate of climb of the P-51D

Uh. 7. 92 Machine Gun bullets aren't classified as Slugs, Shotgun cartridges and Cannon shells are called slugs and 190s MGs are located in front of the plane, the Cannons on the other hand are located in the tip of the prop cone and on each side of the wings.

Not all German soldiers and pilots were monsters. Many fought with honor, just for the wrong side. A German pilot refused to shoot down a wounded B-17 limping back to England because he said it would be like shooting a wounded man.
reply

Ironic, the german probably thought that he just let go a random rookie that probably wouldn-t make it to base, just for that same pilot to later shooting down 2 dozens of his comrades, decisions that bite you later I suppose

I read the book (Thunderbolt) authored by Robert Johnson in about 1969 or 1970 when l wa s in high school. He describes a lot of other incidences where the jug's toughness saved the pilot. I loved the book.

Many P-47s were built in a plant in Evansville, Indiana that became a Whirlpool refrigerator plant later on. The old timers said the hill behind the plant was filled with rounds from the guns being tested.
reply

Wasn't there an old saying among fighter pilots back then that went something like ''If you want to impress your girl you fly a Mustang, if you want to live to see her again you fly a Thunderbolt''.
reply

Ah yes the famous Thunderbolt series very over powered indeed
can take chunks of damage and still fly old or modern the famous fighter bomber and the brrrttttttt
will never be forgotten

reply

I wonder if that German ace seen the damage on his plane and did that to try and get him to bail out since the German thought he couldn't possibly make it back with that plane and would crash

In 1981 I was a Marine changing duty station passing through Texas. A a hotel bar I noticed the old bartender was missing a couple fingers. Turns out he was a P47 pilot that got a bit shot up
reply

If that took place like discribed I would guess the fw 190 was down to the machine gun calibre guns. If a fw 190 unloads its 4 x 20mm guns even a thunderbolt wouldn't take many hits.
reply

Fellas you still have several episodes that aren-t uploaded. The Luftwaffe-s Deadliest Mission, Dogfights of the Middle East, Death of the Luftwaffe and Dogfights of the Future.
reply

Some things are meant to be, and no man can change that path. That's something everyone should understand, though mankind never will as a whole come to that understanding.
reply

If they had even a little notice I don't see why FW190s are catching them from behind when they are nearly 100mph faster and could outdive nearly any piston plane?
reply

He was also the first American pilot to equal the kills of the Eddie Rickinbacker top American pilot of ww1 and the leading ace when he was ordered home for publicity
reply

just be glad the german had run out of 20mm or 30mm cannon rounds before seeing the thunderbolt or the thing would have just exploded after the first burst
reply

Well, when the enemy uses. 30 cal, and you use. 50 cal, make your planes able to withstand your own guns and the enemy-s guns won-t do a thing.
reply

If you seen this plane up close in person. it's an absolute beast. It's even more wild when they fly it at Planes of Fame in Chino, CA.
