History is truth - echoed through the hallways of time, breathing in the memories of many, living on in through the shape of present-day society which it has chiseled, the past resonating in the present. History contains the experiences of many, it is our stories the essence of which make us human. Today we will be going on a journey, back into the Gulag of the Soviet Union, we will allow the prisoners of the Gulag to speak to us, to help us understand their plight. The GULAG is an acronym in Russian, which when translated into English means Chief Administration of Corrective Labour Camps. The Gulag consisted of a network of hundreds of labour camps and prisons, whose inmates were political prisoners of the Soviet Union from the 1920s until the mid-1950s. These camps can be compared in some ways to the Nazi Concentration Camps of the Second World War. Over the years of the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union, these camps housed millions of prisoners, an estimate of 40 50 million from 1928 1953. Each of the hundreds of camps contained around 2000 10 000 prisoners. These inmates were imprisoned for a wide variety of reasons. Some were true criminals who were imprisoned for the crimes they had committed, some were completely innocent, the victims of Stalins Great Purge (where he got rid of anyone who challenged his dictatorship. Often family members of those who challenged Stalin were also imprisoned. Many individuals were simply picked up by the Secret Police and were imprisoned without any trial or sentencing

Worth looking at the time how other countries treated their prisoners. We tend to focus in on prisoners in countries with communist leaderships as victims and prisoners in countries we call capitalist as being justified inmates. All are comparable with Nazi camps. If the Soviets had adopted our style of economics then we would ignore these people. Even in the USA there was systems which saw blacks locked up and rented out like cattle to businesses in a system seen as worse than slavery. This was ended by Rosevelt in WW2 as it was good in assisting German propaganda, not because the govt cared. In a similar way we look at the Japanese abuse of prisoners of war when creating a rail network in Asia in a very different way we do when it is the British creating a rail network with use of locals in India.

We need to impose this in America on EVERYONE with influence who promotes Communism as the solution to everything. That would include everyone who works for the mainstream media and the federal government. That would include many Democrat politicians and their families, the Clintons, Obama's, Bidens, Newsoms, among other prominent political families need to be stripped of their humanity and imprisoned this way down to their last heirs. I would subject many Hollywood celebrities to this hell as well, and entire Ivy League faculties. The point is to force these lovers of Communism to live under its greatest hits so the rest of us can live free.

Sadly history tend to repeat itself as the mass is being brainwash by wannabee despots and tyrants. That is how politicians convince their constituents of the need for war and hate only to have the military industrial complex and oligarchs profit from it and lining politicians pockets. Banking cartels support both side of war. The Bolsheviks revolution was financed by the Rothschilds. So an entire narrative is fabricated. George Bush Jr lied to the Americans and the World about WMDs in Irak on which killed over millions irakies and american soldiers. Obama bomb 7 muslims countries during his 2 terms. How can we forget this?

Every radical leftist must watch this, and see how Nazism was also a left wing ideology, despite the lies and ignorance in claiming that it is far right.
Far right is liberalism, not Nazism.
Left wing means large government.
Right wing means small government.
Nazism was all about the state having total control over everything. That means it was far left, not far right.
BTW, I'm centre right myself. As in I know that there are people that require the state to help them, but overall, capitalism, in a Christian based society, is historically what creates freedom and high living standards for people.

Unfortunately, the Marxism has reborn with the skin of wokeness culture in the western countries. The control in education, media and government is driving the identity politics, censorship, intolerance in opposition option, hatred toward capitalism/the well off, inherited sin. etc. We can draw many parallel lines to the beginning of Nazi Germany, USSR and CCP.
It seems no one is reading the history book any more.

Early in the 2020 election cycle, high-level Bernie Sanders campaign personnel spoke of how the Soviet Gulags were actually peasant places to be. And they said that is what should be done with all Trump supporters and their children.
When Bernie was asked about it, he indicated he knew about what they said and refused to denounce it.
Interesting.
Peaceful, loving, tolerant democranazis.

you tube is removing a hell of a lot of comments that seem, I presume, to be against the communist or socialist narrative. This is how depravity starts and is allowed to flourish in any society, the nazis had kristallnacht book burning and Western society now has social media operating AI to regulate your thoughts and the truth of history to their concept.

It is a reminder not to complain that much. Even 33 years ago people where living in fear of inprisonment and torture in Eastern Europe and things that are considered today normal to have where scarce or just certain party members could have. Also it is a reminder not to give up democracy even if it isn't perfect.

This is what communism ALWAYS looks like. We cannot allow the USA to be controlled by Social Democrats which is the American Marxist Party. until they change, get your children OUT of the failing public schools. No more programming!

guess these horrors happen In many countries still today but not to this extent. Our two major Old Regimes left on this planet still have a long long way to go before they reach a more acceptable level of humanity.

Meanwhile another story or movie about the Holocaust and evil Nazis will emerge. But the horrors of the Helodomor and the gulags are rarely if ever mentioned. We should all be asking ourselves why.

That's Woke History don't teach people this. Knowing the truth is bad. Just like U. S. history. Slavery was just like Zippity Do Dah. And Manifest Destiny. It was all good and noble. NOT!

This is why Americans must never allow the fake president to outlaw firearms for law abiding citizens. I would rather fight to the death than be subjected to something like a gulag.

I read One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich written by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Id recommend anyone interested in the reading it. He spent time in one of these camps. Crazy read.

At 1: 30- Stalin's SON, who was captured by the GERMANS. The bloodthirsty psychopathic tyrant Stalin refused to do a deal to secure his safe return, & he was killed as a result.

So they only had 30 years of slavery? We had 300 in the west and had to fight the bloodiest war in the history of the Western Hemisphere to end it. The USSR just ended it.
reply

the atrocities of a tyrannical dictatorship are never spoken about in schools because they defeated an equally horrible tyrannical dictatorship. nice

I have read books and documents of this. Its horrible. Absolutely horrible. Stalin is paying for this for ETERNITY in ever lasting torment. CWA

Look into the January 6 political prisoners. Nearly two years in jail. No trial. Many for being outside the building the whole time.
reply

History repeats itself, unfortunately.
Millions have been deported in the past months and very little is known about their fate.
