Serbia was fortunate to have a unique mineral spring with its unique taste - the water "Prince Miloš" is extracted at the foot of the Venčac and Bukulja mountains.
By order of Prince Miloš Obrenović, water from the spring was delivered daily to his table. Already at the beginning of the 19th century, scientists found that in addition to its excellent taste, it had healing properties.
One of the best spas in Europe, Bukovička Banya, is located on the waters of Prince Miloš. An immense park, an amazing open-air sculpture museum and the Marble and Sounds festival will easily entertain you during your vacation in the spa.
The healing waters of Bukovička Bani were used by the locals long before the spa was opened. There is a legend in Serbia that the first spring was discovered by accident.
Prince Miloš Obrenović and his entourage, including his personal physician, were at an Orthodox feast in the village of Vrbica. The villagers kept telling the doctor about the incredible power of the local water and persuaded him to visit the spring.
The road led to the forest, where a miraculous spring flowed among the tall trees.
