How Powerful was The Pope in Medieval Times? Who knows Scriptures, please tell me who said:
-My Kingdom is not of this world. -
-I do not belong to this world. -
-This world belongs to the evil one. - and if you dont know, -the evil one- is Satan!
-This world is under the control of the evil one. -
-Satan, the ruler of this world. -
-If you love this world. the love of the Father is not in you. for this world belongs to the evil one. -
So according to Scriptures above. Who is really the pope? if he is the ruler of this world? Can you put together 2 + 2 = 4?
Dan. 7 & 8 and Rev. 13 & 17 reveal exactly who is the papacy is. He is the Little Horn of Dan. 7 and Dan. 8 for our Father in Heaven reveals to those who love the truth and live by the truth, but the rest of the world, those love NOT the truth they remained in the great deception Scriptures foretold!\r\n

The pope gained a lot of power when priests were no longer allowed to get married and have families.
Having a family, especially a large one, creates a significant local power base.
Just imagine running an organization, and some local chapter is ignoring you. Now you want to punish some of the ones that are doing this. This is much harder if they are connected to hundreds of people. Because by punishing them, you also anger those hundreds of people. And possibly other families that are connected through marriage.
Just a single priest without family, much easier to influence, and much easier to create a steeper hierarchy.
Same reason why you had eunuchs in China, and slave armies in the middle east (that were not allowed to have families. It is all about control.

Nice video but you butchered so many words in this - it's not -eccalesiastic- but -ecclesiastic- or more accurately -ecclesiastical-, it's -vicar- not -vicaaaar- and the Pope is not the head of the -state of the Vatican-, he is the head of Vatican City! It's not called -Vatican- or -the Vatican- but rather the name of the country is -Vatican City-, it is commonly referred to as a city-state because it is comprised of a single city. Also you said 'the christiandom-, it is actually -christendom- where the -t- is silent. I like your videos but please proof read your script before posting -

Great video, one small mistake I want to point out. The great schism had nothing to do with the crusades and was already cemented for a while by 1099. It had to do with the addition of filioque to the creed and IMO a power struggle between the Eastern apostolic sees and Rome.

This was so hard to follow. The timelines were erratic and there was a lot of repetition that lead to different things. I was super interested in the topic but this video was more like a click bait for me. - I wish it was told in a clearer way. Maybe in a different structure.

Good video, however the schism of 1054 was due to ongoing disagreements over the veneration of icons. The crusades were not the instigator of the split as the fist crusade was called for in 1096, over 40 years later

List of words you mispronounced. Vicar. Temporal. Ecclesiastic. Ecclesiastical. Christendom. You don't sound very smart. You sound like you're reading a Wikipedia article and seeing these words for the first time.

Coments here be like:
- people who like this video
- people who like conspiracy
- people who defend the truth
- people who fight for conspiracy because they think they defend the truth

reply

>that time they dug up the corpse of a previous Pope and tried him him for his sins and excommunicated him AND cut his hands because he couldn't defend himself.
reply

06: 50 No the schism had nothing to do with the Crusades, the schism happened way before the 1st Crusade. Try to keep your ''facts'' straight.

Your pronunciations are tortured. It is clear you only have read and not heard much of your vocabulary. Get some help with this.

Here after started playing Assassin-s Creed Brotherhood again to understand the story deeply. Rodrigo Borgia liked the video: D

First pope in history wore the cross upside down. That should give you something to think about before worshiping the popes.
reply

That's what happens when religion gets too much power.
Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.

reply

Could not get over the pronunciation of certain words like ecclesiastic and apostolic. Stopped before midway.
reply

It-s kinda like saying how much power does the President of the United States have in modern times; a LOT.
