AAhh the English, the most self-unaware, self-congratulatory people on earth. I bet you they don-t mention any of this to their children when teaching them history.
I know when they teach them about the Boer war - they don-t mention a thing about the scorched earth policy and consternation camps used to crush their enemy.
But then they overplay their military achievements. I was told my whole life that the Battle of Waterloo was a British victory, but found out with shock that only 20% of the troops were British and -
A very small percentage of that were English. Then I found out that without being in a coalition, they cannot win a war. Then the world has to hear that they were the biggest factor in winning ww2. -
The internet is destroying all of these long-held beliefs - it is not going to be kind to the English

Many in Ireland blame Britain for the starving and deaths and the way this is presented it is no wonder, there is no doubt the response was poor from Britain but the emphasis on 'British Empire' and British land lords, no mention of Irish land lords exporting beef etc just the British, it has all the hallmarks of BLM and George Floyd the facts and reason are just not included in the narrative and its been like that for 200 years, lets not let facts spoil a good story of British villainy.

There was no scarcity of food in Ireland at the time of the potato blight, hence no famine. The rich refused to share the abundance of food in Ireland so as to maintain profit levels. Thus over one million endured painful horrible deaths. Over a million emigrated. Murder on the grand scale, motivated by greed. People are suffering and dying today in the British Isles and around the world because of the blight of unbridled greed.

The -famine- in Ireland was perpetrated by the English, who stole Irish land by force, evicted -tenant- farmers ( who had previously owned the land, and let them die of exposure to the elements and of starvation. The English fabricated a diabolical narrative about a blight that caused the Irish to run out of potatoes and starve. In truth, the English ran the Irish off the land and let the freeze and starve to death. ----

It-s happening right now in the US but differently, the Irish had enough potato-s but the elites exported the food elsewhere while the population starved, the US is now exporting inflation to the world by robbing us in taxes and leaving us here in the US broke -hence why everything is costing more-- wait till hyper inflation sets in, it-s going to be much worse the what happened in Germany when their economy crashed

Prior to the famine, Ireland had 8. 5 million people, 5 million left, 2 million died, leaving roughly 3. 5 million, less than half the population. Today, in 2022, their population is only5 million. So much for the great English empire, which pretty much actively tried to kill off the Irish in the process, rather than help.

Sharing Irish, English, and Scottish blood it still sickens me what the elites did to the poor. The British parliament and the Queen failed to act sooner, at lest be honest they didn-t really care until the world condemn them.
My ancestors found a new home in Australia and how thankful I am of that!

Thats what happens when you have one of the wetest years on record and have no workforce to pull them out the ground because nearly everybody in the country has pissed of to merica or oz, the longer they stay in sodden ground the quicker the blight takes hold. Small spudz wouldve been better than no spudz.

Ireland was occupied for over 700 years they couldn't speak their own language, worship their own religion, own their own land, run for political office, hold a government job, have a professional job, doctor, lawyer, they had to farm the land as serfs to British landlords

There's a reason the English language has the word bastard. It describes how the English elite were to 2/3 of the world population over the years. To let the people working the land you stole from them starve, while there was plenty of food available, is horrific.

Ireland would have never heard of potatoes if the British hadn-t given them to the Irish-
Why didn-t the Irish people grow things in their own grasslands not rented to the British & harvest their own crops?
Always blaming someone else -

Its quite remarkable that Boleshevism didn't take root in Ireland. It SURE had the perfect reason for being initiated. LUCKILY for England it didn't because the future 'Troubles' would have spread like a political -blight- in REVERSE. ---

So Muslims decided to help the Irish Catholics considering it their religious duty.
Meanwhile the Christian British considered it God's punishment and not only didn't help but tried to stop the Muslim's help.
That says a lot!

Wow! Go Ottoman Empire! That-s horrible that the British tried to stop the help. That is sick! I know along with political and religious differences between them and Britain, no wonder there has been such contentious relations.

It wasnt as much the blight but the impact of colonialism that caused the potato famine, thats not exactly portrayed in the video, it wasnt really a case on there not being enough food, but a good video none the less.

The potato famine affected the whole of North and Western Europe.
Norway for one had exactly the same experience as Ireland, mass starvation and emigration to N. America.
Just a bit of context here, lads.

Gotta watch over the potatoes more carefully. Hands off the sauce until sundown. What would BONO do? He'd steal 20% of the spuds right off the top. He'd feel guilty. And wouldn't be able to compose anymore.

Thank you so much for this video. We've traced our Irish ancestors as to having come to America during the famine. This helped me understand that move much better.

That was very interesting. I've read the history of the Ottoman empire and I'm amazed at that kind gesture as it was a very cruel regime. Nice to know.

Further proof the English were PIGS during their entire existence. They've never done anything but try to dominate one species after the next.

Genuine question. Why didn't the Irish just flee to other European countries? The trip would be way closer and less dangerous.

Man the British empire was truly barbaric. If the modern day UK was forced to give reparations it would literally bankrupt the nation
