They colonized America by making a decent life in Europe difficult for most folk. America is experiencing the same phenomenon in the 2020's. Income disparity seems inevitable as war, famine, disease, and calamity. Devaluation of our money by Nixon was tried by all prior civilizations that failed. The difference is there is nowhere to emigrate to for most people in modern times.

Funny thing is some bang on about english being colonialists in america, but if you now done a survey on surnames in america its graph would show in this order in percentage of numbers from highest id bet it would be=italian, irish/scot, spanish, german, french, scandinavian, romanian/hungarian in fact english surname would probably be near the end of the list.
