Why did the Caliphate of Cordoba Collapse? I saw another video on how the Reconquista was a contributor to the Fall of the Cordoba Caliphate.
I forgot who the video was by, but essentially they said riffs between the Christians and Muslims caused this to happen. Because of oppression upon Christians by the Muslims and oppression upon Muslims by the Christians, the Muslim presence in Spain ceased to exist.
Basically saying, both sides screwed up\r\n

This is a small detail that to be fair you probably didn-t know about. But there was no mention of the benedin family or banu Edin the descendants of the umayyads who fled to southern Italy to try to gain power but failed. It wasn-t needed in the video as its just a small detail but maybe it would be nice to do a video about it.

the umayyad caliphate never subjugated leon like you show earlier in the video. You never even make mention about how after the toppling of the caliphate in the west you just un colored the graphic where leon is at. Very misleading

It is not very difficult to conquer a defenceless country which was Spain at the time of the Muslim invasion. But when the Spaniards got organized even the hill towers were unable to prevent them from reconquering the country
reply

the fun is part when you made the name abde el rahman short by just saying rahman because the name means the worshiper of merciful wich is one of the god names so by saying rahman you were calling this guy by one of god names
reply

Can you establish a relation between the down fall of the Caliphate and their interactions with the Portuguese new kingdom?
I learnt my side of the history. I would like to knowt the Caliphate side of it. -

Some scholars agree that the Spaniards were so full of courage and confidence after La Reconquista that they sailed to new continents to keep on conquering. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger applies here.

2. 59. Riots and discord remains to a high degree. Bad grammar. Cordoba is a short r. Khaleaf not cal-if. 4. 20 Cordobia? 5. 12 hack-him? hakeem. 6. 22 manzer? Man-sore. 6. 35 rooman? Rack-maan.

Yeap, that sounds like the present day U. S. but instead the Spanish people taking back their land here in the U. S. the Democrats have sold the U. S. to China and China will be the new ruler.
reply

Yeah, something is not adding up here. It doesn't seem it was so prosperous and stable and -running itself-, if it crumbled without any interference within few years after ruler's death.

reply

Immigration of berber in Iberia? There was only berbere people there. Not a single arab. Still now there is very few Arab people in North Africa.

Muslim were undefeated in Spain if they were United good thing about Christian is they are always United and bad thing about Muslim is always divided

EY is it me or history is funny. King Roderic lost, and then later in the Reconquista, an other Roderic won against the Arabs (Rodrigo Diaz El-Cid)
reply

It collapsed because of civil wars and ethnic conflicts. Moors were like Ottomans never tried to assimilate other ethnic groups and nations.
reply

Tarik Ibn Ziad was a Moorish Sultan. Moroccan Amazigh are the ones who fought in Andalusia. Arabs didn't contribute to this war.

Did All Baghdadi see your video? Unfortunately he died --. I love Reconquestia Deporting Yahudis & Jihadis alike from Spain
reply

What's the difference between a decline and a -proactive- decline? Sometimes simpler is better, linguistically speaking.

Recently visited Cordoba, loved it. Also, it has the only Synagogue that survived the inquisition. Built in 1315!
reply

The reason is the betrayal of the Arabs by the Ottomans. Arabs alone in Europe and with them a few Berbers
reply
