The fall of the Ottoman Empire - History of The Ottomans (1900 - 1922) well, after the end of WW1 all three pashas of the Young Turk triumvirate received bullets in their foreheads from the Armenian avengers: Talaat pasha in Berlin from Soghomon Tehlerian, Jemal pasha from two baker brothers in Tiflis and Enver pasha in Central Asia (where he was leading the Basmachi panturkist movement) from Hakob Melqumov. -
Also, many other leaders of the Young Turks, who were especially zealous in carrying out the genocide, received their bullets from the members of the Armenian group Nemesis. Almost none of the prominent decision makers and executors escaped. -
But, alas, this was a small consolation for the 1. 5 million killed Armenians and the loss of the historical homeland.\r\n

you should have mentioned that the Turks committed a total genocide not only towards Armenians (at least 1. 5 million, but also to all other autochthonous Christians of Asia Minor: the Greeks (300 thousand) and Assyrians. The number of Assyrians killed cannot be accurately determined, because in the statistics of the Ottoman Empire they were listed as Christian Arabs (although this is not the case. Various researchers estimate the number of victims as 300-700 thousand

The Ottoman Empire was the only empire whose population was multi-religious and they were free to practice their religion. But such an opportunity became a loophole for those who are evil, when Jews began to insert a needle into the soul of Turkish society. So even a strong empire can fall if the defeat starts from within the empire.

One thing about how the Turks were brought from Middle Asia by the Arabs and Muslims is that they were slaves to the Arabs for hundreds of years before the Arabs civilised them and later allowed them to have their own nation. This is a crucial aspect of the Turks' history that has to be highlighted.

The Ottomans were founded when there was the Ilkhanate at their doorstep, a type of Mongols and a successor state. The Mongols dominated Eurasia just 30 years prior to the Ottoman Founding. This just tells you how long the Ottomans were here for, from the Great Khaganates to World Wars.

Actually Ottomans had been falling for 300 years. Empire was dead but, great powers could not agree on burial during last 40 years. Because their individual interests were confronting each other. On October 1918, they finally reached an agreement.

Why did the European powers allow Turkey to keep Constantinople and the traditionally Greek coastal lands? They had them subdued and could have easily kept them in that smaller plot of land or sent them packing back to Asia where they came from.

After Mehmet all changed by mixed race children. If Osman saw what happened to this day, he would be devastated like many who were martyred all their efforts to be destroyed. Took a very long time to bring them down.

As a Turk, I think the collapse of the Ottoman Empire has been misrepresented. First of all, there was no Armenian genocide in the Ottoman Empire. They also spoke very briefly about the Turkish War of Independence.

It would have veen nice if he mentioned the sacrifices made by muslims of subcontinent just so the ottoman empire survived. the fall of ottoman emoire initiated the indpedence movement in subcontinent

reply

If they didn't brutalize the peoples under their control to the extent that they kidnapped their children to form a slave army, none of this probably would have happened.
reply

Bro we sended armenians to syria because they harmed our war efforts also they striked our soldiers in the causcauses front.
RELOCATING A POPULATION IS NOT MASSACRE.

one thing to note is that the german emperor of that time said 1% of wisdom went to the other world leaders, 4% to him self and 95% to the great Sultan AbdulHamid II
reply

After the places where the Ottomans had to leave, they fought each other in war after war, the Ottoman Empire was the security of those lands.
reply

This is crazy that there was so much war BEFORE WWI. If wars are over self determination and honor, it seems as if wars will never end.
reply

It's hard to be a Turk because you're fighting the world, it's harder not to be a Turk because you're fighting folk songs.
reply

It-s a shame that Greece didn-t take control of Constantinople. It was their city to begin with, they should have taken it back.
reply

Ottomans =/= Turkey. Turkey had its own indepedence war against Greece, England, France, Italy, Armenia AND Ottoman Empire.
reply

From Byzantine Empire to Yugoslavia a huge time period. Ottomans were one of the histories legends that no longer exists.
reply

Thank you for mentioning the Armenian genocide. May the Turks one day be held responsible for their barbaric actions.
reply

I've heard the real issues with the Ottoman empire started because they were in debt to European bankers
