Decent overview of Texas history. As anyone would expect there is so much more history and nuance that there is not enough time to get to. The only thing I wish you changed was the position of the hurricane, JFK and drought photos. The drought photo should be on the left as that is the arid desert part of Texas. The JFK photo should be on top since you literally have the zoom box pointed at the Dallas area. Finally the hurricane photo should be on bottom since that is the closest to the coast.

Odd video. As a Texan I learned some interesting facts but far too much was left out and you mischaracterized Texas as a poor state when Californians are moving in droves to Texas as we speak. This video needs to be at least twice as long with better explanations of the relationships between all parties involved, the Mexican-American war, and secession. Also, no mention of the Comanches natives. One of your weakest videos for sure.

This video was good at the start but Texas did not have any troubles due to hurricanes, JFK or droughts. Texas is the only state that is self sufficient and could actually become its own country. The entire country moves to Texas due to its economical strength and lower cost of living. The people of Texas are also known for being far better in quality as far as education, size, looks and manners

You forgot to mention the battle that started it all. Before the Alamo, before San Jacinto was the Battle of Nacogdoches.
In a nutshell, Mexican military said to a small town of whites and natives and blacks to disarm.
. they got shot!
They ran south of Nacogdoches and were shot again!
The end.

You sort of know Texas History. You left out a whole lot and some was simply incorrect. But nice try, most won't know the difference. My Family has been in Texas since it was a Spanish possession and you had to pretend you were Catholic to get a Land Grant.

There were 6 flags over Tejas'; There were lots of Mexican wonted independence from Mexico, and at first Tejas did not wonted to be part of USA, I think the worst thing Tejas even did was to join USA after the civil war

I was confused when you didn't get the shape of the territory of Texas correct. after watching the video. you missed so much in it's history and left it out. I suppose I should've seen this coming with it only being 11 minutes.

And why did this vid completely skip 15 yrs (1821-36) of -how- sentiments changed and how former mexican cabinet member De Zavala (who cowrote the Tx constitution) were key in crafting the new republic. But meh, slavery

As a Texan and a student of Texas History I would give this video 68/100 grade. Miss many important historical facts. Many people are going to see this video and think it is correct but it is not Grade = F!

Another reason why Texas joined the confederacy was due to red legs people who -on behalf of the union- raided pillaged and attacked many towns in Texas. (Not defending anyone just adding some history)

The men fighting at the Alamo against the Mexican soldiers were Texians. The true Texan was the Tejano, those of Mexican blood. The Texians did not want to be associated with the name of Texan.

If only the picture of the fastest road was actually at the section of the fastest road. At that area it is 80mph, but going south about 30 miles it is 85mph. I love and hate that toll road.

As a native American, I'm proud to be a native Texan. Texas could be an independent nation, but who would want to be not part of the United States of America?

A lot of the important history of Texas itself was left out. This is basically a video of how it became a state in the US and not about Texas in of itself.

Texas rebelled against Mexico because Mexico abolished slavery, then they rebelled against the us because Texas wanted to keep slavery. Let's not forget that.

This video is a lore crime.
It-s clearly not possible to cover the history of Texas in 11 minutes because you omitted a significant amount of it.

Your are fake history. June Teenth did not mark the end of hostility or military battles in the civil war in Texas. Not historically accurate.

Clarification: the defenders on the Alamo WERE NOT Texans.
They were US paid mercenaries from Kentucky Tennessee and other US states.
