How did Haiti Overthrow its French colonizers? how, France ABANDONED HAITI! thats how, then the rebellion-ers didnt have anyone to kill, so the slaughtered everyone not like them. Leaving haiti 98 percent black. Cool. they killed half breeds, etc. anyone not fitting there ideal. Just like rowanda. Also, the colonizers were everyone in haiti, free blacks, black slave owners etc. included, except for the natives lmao. but there is no natives in haiti is there lmao WHY? bahahaha! the slaughter? Where did the natives go. I know the white man killed them all, except that natives are all over north and south america, myself included. the Dominican republic too, but not haiti. hmmmm. wonder why. ? 3 rebellions and they achieved nothing but a massacre and abandonment. Also haiti is the most corrupt, poorest, former kidnapping capital, of the world. and its really really dirty! but liberal governments want haiti for slave labour. Gildan already does it. they pay 6 cents per hour. think haitians can feed themselves with 6 cents per hour, seems like slavery to me. But haitians never created any infrastructure themselves, they depend on others to do for them, what they cant do for themselves. Sounds like slaves to me. 200 years, 1 hospital built by the red cross.\r\n

The Haitian Revolution was 12 yrs long and 200000 Haitian s dead.
The French did not pursue the matter as some persons they killed, finger prints re- occured amongst the population amongst the living and hence it was confirmed that they were fighting Zombies, which bite them causing a form of -, Yellow Fever. -
It is believed that they struck a deal with the Devil, because every time before battle, they performed a strange, Voo Doo dance and go into a trance giving them super human strength.

Its alleged that the Haitians in a bid for Independence burnt many of the plantations to the ground in protest to the slavery. Later its also said that they adopt a 'scorched earth' policy and level everything, wrecking the entire country. They achieve independence soon after.
This is just dumb! Who has a 'scorched earth policy' while on a little tiny island? Lol! May I suggest that a single cataclysmic event was responsible for all the damage occurring here and witnessed elsewhere around the world(Mudflood)

How France was helped by the United States in disenfranchising Haiti and extorting Haiti should be covered as well. Haiti was blockaded, embargoed, sanctioned, invaded, occupied, had its treasury raided, extorted by France with the help of the US, US backed brutal dictators ruled over, democratically elected reps like Aristide made to leave all due to White America and other groups like OAS, Canada, France, and more. Another 20 mins of video that won-t hurt.

Not just the french, we also kicked out both the british and Spanish, in that order. The biggest british loss in the Americas was in Haiti, not the USA.
Also we helped simon bolivar fight the Spanish by giving him guns and soldiers.
Just had to state it, because the european (white) world tries to purposely ignores our history, but its very intertwined with theirs, you can only ignore ir for so long.

Relative to its size (both in landmass & population, Haiti is arguably one of the most historically impressive countries in the world. Certainly in the Americas at the very least. A paradoxical revelation when you consider the state it-s in now. Shoutout to the Haitians, by & large some generous & hardworking folks. A resilient ppl if there ever was any.

The dominican republic. free herserf, and develop her economy!
Haiti, free himself, but continue to fight themselves! How do you expet to improve your situation, if the tribal, african mentality, is the root of their republic?
Haiti, if they were ready to overcome their story, would be better off that her neighbour!
But. its up to them!

Not referring to this topic, but also the
Ethiopians gain independence of it's own
nation from the Italians not once but twice.
One of the battles that happened between
Ethiopia, the Ethiopians, and Italy, the
Italians; was called the Battle at Adwa in
1896.

Terrible video using leftist buzzwords and CONVENIENTLY ignoring the white genocide and that slavery was abolished in name only, and -totally not- having a biased take in general. Plainly pathetic. One day, people will point and laugh at you, and rightfully so.
reply

If you don-t like being lied to this is for you. There is no such thing as black or white, that is the gray area. There were Taino Indians, rich Europeans of light to dark complexions, and slaves consisting of pale peons and poor multicolored Europeans.
reply

So Le Clare lands and then we dash to talk of the genocide and -freedom- shining its light blah blah. Lacked detail on how the rebels defeated the Franco-Polish forces or the utter mess the place remains to this day. Otherwise interesting enough.

Demasiado odio entre los habitantes de Haiti, hasta el dia de hoy. No es una sociedad consolidada, es tribal y arcaica y cruel. - La peor de America. -
Diganselo a los dominicanos lo que han padecido con sus vecinos. --

As an African and Ethiopian-American, I am proud of those slaves claiming their right, however I am not happy with the current situation in Hait! Hope they will figure out their problem and come up with some soultion soon
reply

Haiti ain't over throw anybody this is all falsehood. Haiti is worse off today than in slavery days. Same way you'll think American slavery ended in 1880's but yet those so called freed slaves had no voting rights
reply

Haiti didn't -overthrow its french colonizer- all the native people living on Hispaniola island were wipe out centuries before. The blacks living there are as much colonizers as the europeans.
reply

I know nothing about this but
I bet the Haitians were living horribly with or with out the French.
I hope the French were not on top in haiti. Ehh hmm someone will comment

Why the hell did they destroy the plantations? What a promising and influential country. Absolute shame that it was destroyed by foreign interference, war, and its own terrible mistakes.
reply

Regardless of what happened, They were All from africa! The world is strange! Humans are stuck in a time so long. Jeesh! Africans are africans no matter where the slavery happened!
reply

I don't believe you miss the genocide of the French to the 900, 000 native Indian that were on the island prior to the haitien african. The number one genocide in human history -.
reply

And the African Nation of Haiti has made such immense progress.
Free from colonialist masters: now equal to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore in economic and social progress.

reply

Many of the Haitian dictators were abusive to their people resulting in the death of many of their citizens! Cruelties were not restricted to just the French!
reply

Good story of our past but please start to state -enslaved- vs -slaves- because you are not quoting enslaved dutches, Irishmen, or natives of these islands
reply

I am Haiti but there are a lot of imaginary things in your version because Spain didn't support the Haitian revolution and they didn't give ammunition's
reply

And what it is the present life and economy in Haiti? I think if they had a second chance to choose meaby prefer definitely to be a part of France.
reply

They were given a choice pay your way out with so much interest they just finished paying a few years back since independence that was their way out.
reply

Sounds like much adversity. They installed a caste system that affects them until this day. Hope it gets better to be so rich yet so unhappy-.
reply

No offense to my Haitian brothers but the French in reality won the mental war. Haitians still speak their language and carry their names.
reply

Toussaint never declared himself ruler for life. Also, this story left many parts of how the Haitians defended the French Napoleon army.
reply

And thus the poorest country in America was born.
Kinda sad to see how every popular uprising ends up as a failure eventually.
