Who is different Age? Quick & Tricky CROSSWORD Riddle for crossword solver Remy: A across = Adam's age
A down = Adam's age + Bob's age
Since both are 2-digit numbers beginning with the same 0-9 positive numeral, we can conclude that the second box in A down (and B across, but I haven't gotten that far) is Bob's age (and thus, the question can be answered right here, with Bob being a different age than Adam and Carl. This makes the second box of A across equal to 0.
B across = Adam's age + Bob's age + Carl's age
Knowing what we know above, this makes the digit of the first box in B across 2x the digit of the first box in A across (and A down. The first box in A across must be 1, 2, 3, or 4 while the first box in B across must be 2, 4, 6, or 8.
Thus Adam and Carl are each 10, 20, 30, or 40 while Bob is somewhere between 1 and 9.

My Answer -

Adam's & Charles's ages = 22 years
Bob's age = 20 years.
-It is given that - 'a' down is addition of Adam-s age and Bob-s age in years-. SO i have just REVERSED the pattern of their age appearance in the crossword. (Since the pattern of age appearance is not mentioned, the answers are correct as long as all mentioned conditions are being satisfied)
What lead me to this answer - The confusion of leading zero. I assumed that even bob CANNOT be less than 10 (eg. 09.
Let me know what you think of my answer!
Any mistakes or misleading in my assumptions are much appreciated!
BTW, Great question collection!

You have a jar filled with water. There's a lid on the top. You are going out for 7 days. Once you come back you should be able to figure out whether someone opened the jar or not
What sort of mechanism would you build to do that
?
This question asked in interview. I didn't able to answer. What's the write ans for this puzzle?

reply

Even with the -leading zero- rule, there is absolutely nothing whatsoever in the premise preventing both Bob and Carl from being newborns, in which case THEY are the same age. Adam could then be any two-digit age and it still works. Let's say he's 23.

Forgot two possibilities at 3: 43:
(i) Bob can also be 0 years old.
(ii) Bob and Carl can be both 0 years old, and then Adam can be any two-digit age from 10 to 99.

It really was easy. Solved it in less than 15 seconds. Please make some tougher logical puzzles. There are plenty of them on the internet

What if Bob and Carl are both newborns (age = 0) and Adam's age is any 2 digit number. In this scenario, all the conditions are satisfied.
reply

We can also solve this question by assuming that Bob's and Carl's age is 0 years Adam's age is any 2 digit number
