There is another way of cutting it. first we cut it vertically on one side from a point on a 1cm mark to the pointed part in the other side. and then if we slide the vertical piece over the other till a length to make 12 cm. the extra part which comes out cut the part and fit it in the upper corner

You can-t cut the wood into two pieces such that both will fit exactly into the hole. You haven-t allowed for the kerf of the cutting process. There will always be some wood lost as sawdust or otherwise destroyed, which will leave the corresponding partial volume of the hole unfilled

Thank you Ammar for the puzzles, but I think the bonus puzzle (5 little squares) should be the main puzzle of the video.
And the one with the wood and hole should be the bonus.
You can't eat dessert first, and than eat meat and potatoes.

Eh. Cutting it is too inefficient. I saved time by just turning the wooden plate on its side and slid it through the hole. He didn-t say it had to fit the dimensions the same or we couldn-t think 3 dimensionally. ;-P

That's what she said.
(I'm sorry. I don't see any comments about the title, so I did it myself. It just doesn't feel right if not a single person makes the obvious joke)

As usual, the presentation was ambiguous. I would strongly encourage you to word the puzzle more clearly.
