Honestly my mom wasnt the best. She did what she could but so many things have destroyed any chance of us having a close relationship. Such as commenting on my appearance telling me my legs were ugly because I had scratched my mosquito bites open and made me feel ridiculous being it shorts. She would constantly make underhanded remarks and judge my sisters on their life choices and then push the opposite on to me so hard that its pushed me away. Now I find myself angry more often than not because the man Im dating (the love of my life) is constantly under fire from her due to not having proposed in 2 years and drinking alcohol (a beer every once in a while or when were hanging out with friends. My other friend got engaged after three months and she looked at me and told me my boyfriend sucked, when in fact shes the reason neither of us want to marry yet. My dad on the other hand is so chill. But I plan on making sure I dont over do it and I refuse to make my kids feel like shes made me feel and I can do better.

Im lucky to have had such great teachers/parents growing up.
-not spank my kids over ever wrong doing (actually not at all, its just me but I consider it child abuse)
-not yell at them over accidents (again Ill try my best to not do it at all)
-raise them to really know I love them
-allow them to have a social life
-dont pressure them to get top grades if the best they can do is a B+
-dont guilt them into doing things with me or for me
These are just some but I learned first hand growing up what to do. Since I received the complete opposite of all of these and although it kept me in line, it didnt for my siblings and that was just so I could go unnoticed. I remember how terrible it would feel to be spanked over dropping my bowl or yelled at for throwing a pillow and now I know, dont do that to my kids.

Why do they always force us at school even the education system is twisted
Why should they let us experience those what happened to them
Why do they always say we have no rights to fight against them
Why do i always what they want we should grant
Why do they always blame all harsh happening to us
Why other parents let their child had their best childhood while im here always not allowed to go outside
Why do they always hate everything we liked
Why do they alwas compare us to other kids
Why dont they trust us after a simple mistake
Why are they alwas saying they suffered in their childhood even tho they had freedom outside and always have fun with their friend
Why dont they be more supportive to us
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

My mom never really let me do anything, even chores because she said I was useless and lazy but I really wanted to do chores because I thought I was the problem and that there was something wrong with me. She verbally abused me a little saying that I was dumb when I make a little mistake while doing something and that made me feel scared around other people like my teachers and I thought they would do the same thing so I really worked on hard in school with a fake smile and I have always been an A+ student for that reason

I think I didn't enjoy my childhood fully.
Mom doesn't like to make friends with boys. When I was about 10, she always reminds me that before going to school. I thought she was right and listened to her. Now I don't know how to communicate with boys. When I am around them, I feel something like insecurity or embarassment! But I am trying to change that beahivour. Anyway mom really cares about me. Afterall, she is indeed a good mother. She had been taking charge of the whole family since we were young.

I don't say that having children it would be such a bad thing but we need to be careful even if that kid would have quarantined good parents (I don't say perfect) but good, because maybe the world could do an unexpected thing to them so we better do take a good care of them for their future too, maybe I'm still young but having a a child can be the most beautiful thing we just have to get them a good future

I'm so very glad I seen a therapist. I suffered every type of abuse as a child. As a parent of 4 children I vowed to be the best mother I could be to them. I'm proud I broke the abuse cycle in my family. It took alot of healing and insight. Becoming a mother has been my greatest gift in this life. Thank you for your content. Your helping to make the world a safer place for all our children

In one of my recent videos, I touch on the impact of parenting on adulthood, and their parenting on their children later in life. We need to remember parents are also on their own journeys, but the key is not to worry to the point where it becomes too difficult to parent yourself. Try your best to give your kids the most nurturing environment you can.

My mum says: I'll give you something to cry about in a minute so ever since she started doing that I haven't cried in around her or even at home unless im in my room
And I also do a lot of rps so I can have a new life so I don't have to deal with my family my mum has throw stuff at me but she's never hit me. Yet that is I'm not fully sure

I dont really appreciate the assumption that being homeschooled means you have no social skills. Its a really bad stereotype that isnt always true. I was homeschooled and my parents didnt isolate me from social activities and making friends. I would even go as far as to say that they kept me from having to deal with toxic high school situations.

Growing up my mom was very protective of me, idk if it was because of all the bullying I received in school or what. My dad he was kinda verbally abusive to me and my mom but at the same time he wanted me to be able to do things on my own and gain independence we bonded over video games. I miss him. he has sadly passed away.

Im kind of person that dont like to treat my future children like how my parents treated me one day
I know Im going to do the opposite but as you said in the video, Im a little bit worry if Im going to exaggerate
I think I need to understand myself more and I need to learn more so that I can reach the balance

When i will adopt my child, i would not treat them like my parents treat me. I dont whant them to suffer i whant them to be happy. I would spoil them not till they became spoiled brats, show them love and care, bring them to Disney world, shopping and others. I would always put theire happiness and mental health.
reply

I am absolutely terrified that I'm going to end up treating my children like my father treated me. I think he ruined my desire for kids because I've been scared of having my own family since I was very, very little. Seeing the correlation between abuse and abusers is somewhat confirming that my fears are valid

My parents literally put my autistic little brother on so many meds he's a borderline zombie at this point. Im honestly disgusted by the things that my parents do to him and us. My mom literally kicked my older brother out and got mad at him for geting a job even though she suggested he should get a job.

Im not having kids for multiple reasons.
Too expensive, fear of young children and babies, my genetics suck, Im 22 but not mature enough to care and raise another human, Im gay and a transitioning ftm and I prefer having and raising kids of the animal variety.

DUDE THE FIRST ONE HIT ME HARD---
The fift is pritty much me. I dont trust my dad at all, even to the point that im too scared to meet him somewhere. I think that he might leave me with the bill or something similar, yeah i think too much ahead.

Growing up I had very over controlling parents, who always wanted me to be with only them. Which has lead me into deep deep depression! I lost my self worth self love and confidence. It's like way do I even wake up every day?

This video highlights one of the main reasons I never tell people that I was abused as a child. People make all sorts of presumptions about who you are now. I have a son and I have never lifted a finger to him.
reply

I faced all of these issues. now im a father of 3 month old daughter and trying to break the cycle by giving her all the love and care i can give and keeping my child away from her toxic grandparents.
reply

Even if I have kids, I may wanted to change myself but the fact that most things (depression, anxiety etc) are always linked with genes are the fact that make me feel not wanting to have a child.
reply

Ha, jokes on you I won't live that long.
On a more serious note: I really don't see myself making a family. Heck, I really can't feel any love for someone romantically or love in general.

reply

Takes more than just making your kids feel loved to raise a kid effectively tho, if you don't push them farther than they are comfortable with then they'll never get out of their comfort zone
reply

I had a pretty bad childhood. I always promise myself when I have kids im gona be the best parent. But I often wonder maybe I shouldn't have kid because I don't wana be the same and he was.
reply

I will make sure they get the love of parents Nd they never hesitate to say what they feel and give chance to make them correct if they are wrong Nd also praise Nd appreciate if they r ryt
