For everyone struggling I suggest resetting your dopamine levels. Do more things that promote healthy dopamine. Like taking cold showers, work out, spend less time on social media and on your phone in general, meditate, take walks, learn a new skill. Learning a new skill gets your brain used to challenge and rewires it to crave activities that slowly raise your dopamine levels instead of activities that rapidly spike it like porn. Learn to wait without taking out your phone. For example waiting in line, or waiting for your food at a restaurant. That teaches you to be comfortable with discomfort, comfortable with boredom which is a common trigger for people. Learn to do one thing at a time, for example when you’re eating, just eat don’t watch anything or take your phone out to eliminate constant stimulation. Also take boring breaks sometimes. People are so used to being on their phone or watching a show or movie while they’re taking a break from working but it makes going back to work seem so tedious if what you’re doing on your break is more stimulating than the work. During your breaks just stretch or deep breathe, take a walk, listen to music, or some light workout, it makes you crave going back to work and makes it easier to stay focused when your break is less stimulating than the work you’re doing. The thing is the less you do activities that spike your dopamine quickly and give you instant gratification, the less you crave doing those types of activities, like porn for example. I’ve been doing this for about a month and I haven’t even had cravings to watch porn. It’s all about the dopamine and doing activities that raise it in a healthy way and avoiding things that spike your dopamine or give you instant gratification.

1: 09 Pre-contemplation: you don't see a problem, porn is a solution, offers relief, distracting you from real emotional problems.
1: 55 Contemplation: you notice how porn affects you (relationships with others, self-esteem, disconnect, guilt): thinking about cutting back
2: 36 Preparation: you start mapping out how to change remove triggers
3: 20 Action: taking real steps (ex: joining support group, blocking sites, reaching out to therapist) solid support system is important
4: 27 Maintenance: sticking with the changes you've made, keeping them up
-> relapse can happen but keep going!

I don't know if I'm the only one but recently I've lost the appeal of p0rn, ya know Like I'm not gon deny it, I do watch it but, I just don't feel 'good' or whatever. I don't see what's so interesting about two exposed people making fake. Idk maybe I'm just not into that. I basically stopped since I got. bored. And it's been 8 months since I stopped and I haven't feel tempted since. Am I a good person or something or is there something wrong with me that stops me from feeling stimulation or whatever

Sometimes it feels that even if I try, it won’t work out, I keep overthinking on how I’ll just fall back, and that’s definitely not the right way, it truly feels empty to try, and even hopeless, but just wanting to change, is already a step and it’s hard at first, but it’s never impossible, reaching out to someone, even if to idk chat gpt, could already help to get some of the burden out of your back. .. It’s a tough journey after all

Actually you should quit it cold turkey. With this method symptoms are severe but way shorter and it worth it. 21 days complete shut down of electric stuff (cellphone, computer, laptop, games, tv) and you will see the light. the reason you should go cold turkey in addiction is because the brain cant distinguish between the oprn and empty screen. And thats why you keep staring at the screen for hours. Hope you make it. Take care.

This affect men and women. Often times men's problems are addressed but women unfortunately do not get the help they need. People sadly assume ladies do not struggle with this problem. We all need help. Pay attention to us all. Great video.
BTW, I would love to see more on people addressing how and why it manifest into an addiction for men and women.

It IS a journey, so view it as a part of your character arc in a slice-of-life anime. It's what I do. I can do 3 days with, and 3 days without so far. And that's only going to get better. Thank you Psch2go. You guys are helping so many people. Including me.

I've been free from it for 5 months, almost 6, and the only reason I havent gone back is because i havent been on my kindle anymore (i havent been on it much since i quit)
Its difficult. I sometimes have the urge to draw that kind of stuff, but i don't.

I used to do this all the time, I got caught by my mom ans balled my eyes out, thats when I decided to change. I’ve avoided porn, never even thought about it. But I keep seeing it everywhere, and I keep crawling back to it. So I’ve finally watched this

Despite people making it look
easy, breaking free from porn addiction can be hellishly hard and tempting. Everyday, you'd just feel like you just want to have that good feeling again. Also at times when you feel low.

The best decision I took was to get a friend with benefits so whenever I get those cravings I convince my self that I have something better than my hand waiting for me, it's kinda like a coping mechanism I can say

Coming from a background of depression and early access to this content made it difficult for me to stop. Got a therapist last year and have worked through some trauma and now I feel ready to take the big step

Everytime i think about corn addiction it always reminds me of when Spider-Man had the black suit and he got rid of it because he knew he was getting corrupted by it. It really helps me keep going forward.

So many videos on porn addiction many don't think of an addict especially for anime/furries. Sadly also many are literally on web cams NSFW to make money and attention. it's sad honestly
