To be compeletely honest here:
I don't know how to respond to this kind of topic or many of these comments, like "You have to look for help" or "You are loved" or "Just try to persue new life goals" and so on.
Sure, these sentence makes kind of sense in a specific perspective, but I really don't know if these people ever got a glimpse of a real, heavy depression and the knowledge that it's arround you your whole life. It nerver goes away. There are times where it's just less heavy, followed by times where it's absolutely overwhelming. It's toturous.
Some people just don't want to live with that. Who wants that anyway! The most of us just don't kill ourselfs because of the mere thought how devastated our loved or close ones would feel to that kind of outcome. Because of that we kind of decide to live a toturous life which holds like nothing in for us. No gain. No purpose. No goal. No happiness and no way to get just a glimpse of that at all. Depression is not curable. Either you're capable of live with it somehow, which includes many many agonizing, painful and toturous episodes with like no counterbalances or you chose to take all that damning stuff and put an end to it. It's like living with a growing cancer, not in your body, but in your mind, thoughts and your soul.

To be completely honest, I'm really tired of people telling me "everything's going to be okay", or even just a simple "you're loved, please don't die. " I'm so so sick of hearing that same dull phrasing over and over again. Most people say that your teenage years in high school is the most difficult and you'll grow out of it, but I'm not going to. How do I know Because I've been having these sorts of thoughts starting in my late years of elementary school.
I just want it to be done and over already. I've been waiting too long for something to come and kill me. I've been waiting too long to die.
It's already been too long since I've felt this way. The idea of dying, taking my own life is something that's only just another thought to my daily routine. I don't even know if I even want to stop feeling this way anymore because now, it seems like it's one of the only reliable constants I can fall back on.
I'm just really tired.

Im autistic in such a way it cause me to have weaker version's of symptoms from actual mental illness, like have a weaker bipolar cause me to be extremely happy constantly trying not to laugh my head off and just can't stay still cause i have so much energy im literally bouncing off the walls, to depressed seeing life as meaningless and wanting to die and i can't get out of bed because i don't have the energy, but non of it is genuine emotion cause i overcame suicidal depression long ago and i don't feel like i did then, and I'm usually not so energetic to the point of bouncing off the walls, so i don't know what's going on, and im writing this as im on the happy side and sometimes when on this side i hear things i know aren't there, I've never seen things tho, and on the depressing side i often have the urge to shove i knife through me even tho i don't want to die, woooo that was long anyway im gonna get some sunny d

I do beleive depression can have a lot of signs. It ranges from a minimal of "some things are left unfulfilled" to a maximum of "Lack of friendship, even with 0 friends in person, and pure lack of love, combined, into an extremely lonely depression, that the person seriously has nothing to live for" sign of depression (Wow. that's a mouth full of words. I name this sign of depression "Drancruonsole" even if I'm not creative with naming. Think of the most loneliness, the most unloved, or the most unwanted you've ever felt, but seriously amplified.
By the way, if someone has drancruonsole depression, One day by chance, he/she would be abducted by aliens and and may adopt both the alien species, their lifestyles, and their services if they care for him/her enough, even if it be helping them do what they want. By chance, he/she would help them be allies with humanity. This "Abducted by aliens" thing is an example.

1. I am very conflicted with this one. It only happens after something very negative happens. Like one of my phobias are triggered. But other times, no.
2. Yes, a few times actually, between 2017-2018. I just feel like everything is coming at one time. With senior year, tests, exams, a special interest of mine being banned because i talk about it too much, and a narcissistic father physically/spiritually looming over you every second of every day, yes, it will make you consider something major. But something has stopped me each time though.
3. Not enough times to be considered a yes.
4. In the years of 2017-2018, there are a few scenarios in my mind like that. Like cutting my throat with a knife, strangling myself with my belt, going to the nearest city and jump off the highest building, or when in the school bus, opening the back door, and just jumping out.
5. No.

It is our life to live or terminate. None of us have say in the matter. None of us should ever try to stop someone from suicide. Nobody can know what crippling emotional pain the suicidal person has. We have absolutely no right to stop someone from ending their horrific emotional pain. Should I ever accidently stumble into someone that is ready to end all their pain and is ready to do it, I will simply wish the person a gentle and quick end, and leave the location. I am not selfish enough to try to force someone to stay in this hellhole of a planet when none of us asked to exist here. Nobody asked our permission to force us to serve a life sentence here, why should we ask to end our own suffering It does not attack someone else if we self terminate. Perhaps some of us will be missed. Perhaps some of us will not be missed. It does not matter.

Interesting.
I'm not suicidal but I fulfill some of these points. I still have a very strong will & reasons to live, but my problem is, I don't know HOW. Although I feel at present frustrated, hopeless, scared, chased by some problems for my whole life, but mightyless no matter, what I had tried against them & I've lost my way in life, I still belive, that I will going to find a way out of this depression this year.
I see forward that therapy will help me. I have the luck, that I live in a country in which theres a free therapypossibility. (The country pays for it, with our taxes. Part of the healthcaresystem)
The only downer is, that the waitinglist is very long, but that doesen't matter.
I'm just greatfull. Other countrys don't even have free therapy.

As long as I can remember of my teens I always have one to 3 plans to end it all.
Those thoughts are walking with me. Mostly in the backseat. Silent. But when bachsets accure those become very loud.
I learned to work with them. Doesnt mean I cant ignore them tho. Its hard. And scary when you realise they creep up again when you try to get shit done to prevent it or find some spark of hope to go further. But for me the last few years are showing more and more that I am not made for this world.
Lets see what happens the next 10 to 13 years. Thats my marker. Until then I need to push through. After that i couldnt give a damn if nothing really changes no matter the effort I put in.
Its a lonely road mostly. And thats absolutely not okay.

About a year ago I was in a very dark place mentally but trying my best to not let it show but it was so draining pretending to be happy day after day that at one point I just didn't want to continue being miserable and started thinking about ending my life, every trip to my faculty I had that though what if I just didn't step out of the way of that car although eventually I settled on pills being the most painless way to go.
Luckily for me, I got recommended some of your videos (smiling depression for example) and it helper me reach out to my friends for help. And here I am now, a year later, doing much better, still alive.
So thank you very much for helping me.

1: 32 or is living in Poland xD
But being serious I used to match 3 out 5 of those signs something around two and a half year ago, but I joined Rifleman Unit(paramilitary pro-defense organization) and it helped me a lot, I started to go outside I met a lot of new people, I'm much happier than back then, I'm still depressed but I accepted the fact that a single human life like mine is basically worthless in a perspective of a world, so at least I can sacrifice my life to protect something much greater than myself to fight and die if needed for my homeland.
Sorry if my English isn't well but I'm tired it's like 20minutes before 1am in my time zone.

I'm that person. Last few years were hard for me to live, but last months are worst. i can't study, do simple things or just be alive. i have done some things to myself which i'm not proud of. I'm trying not to sh in any way, but it's getting impossible and i can't even talk to anyone. i have friends but they have their own problems and at the same time i'm uncomfortable to talk about it. And you know what is the worst part about it, being like that is comfortable for me. i don't know how to describe this feeling, but even if i'm happy, it feels like my body is asking to return to this state and be sad, cry, sleep and just be useless.

I always feel deppresed everyday. way before. but now after my mom died while i'm an only child it got worse. i just wish i could die, no relatives care about me never ask about my well being, my father only care for my basic neccesity of life like eat, sleep etc etc. Friends are fake. they ghosted and avoided me after i felt into this deep pit of grief. whenever i think i could do suicide. i always feel afraid idk why. it should make me happy that i could get to meet with my mom again. i really wish something could kill me. It's lonely. plus the financial problems in my family where i feel trapped.

This isn't gonna be easy to say, but I've been suicidal a few times before. It's mostly because I spent my entire life feeling like a constant disgrace. It's like everything I say or do goes wrong. Not to mention the fact that some people, inclduing those dear to me, were arguably the harshest towards me. I even have days when my mind won't leave me alone. I also felt incredibly lonely and anxious at times. It's like almost nothing or no one can make me happy. But luckily, I reached out for help and I've been able to do things to calm me down. So, I'm working on keeping myself alive.

My aunt committed suicide and I tried my best to stop her. I talked to her and also tried to get her to see a professional. She blocked me on everything she could find and refused help because she knew I was trying to save her. I hugged her the day before she did it and her body was cold and she planned a trip for us to go to California. Her funeral was on my birthday. I blamed myself so much for not doing enough. I saw the signs and tried to save her since nobody was trying. To this day, my heart aches because she was supposed to still be here with me.

I went on a trip last summer, up into the mountains, where i rode my mtb on hiking trails. I didn't bring a phone, rainclothes, food or water. I guess i wasn't planning to come back. Ofc, it wasn't like a meticulously planned trip, or anything. I was just like "well, i'll set this challenge for myself to complete, but i guess i don't mind the consequences if something goes wrong and i am unable to finish it".
I'm thinking of getting into bikepacking for real now, cycle across the continent next: If anyone wanna join me in my madness, hit me up

I don't know what to call it. But I really lack of optimism about life. Nothing special about life, not even myself. It's really depressing for me to define what happiness is, like I'm not worthy to be happy or some. And If something terrible happens to myself and it could even take away my life, I will sincerely let it happen. Since nothing is special for me. Not even my life.
But still, I'm still living my life 'normally'. Having fun with myself, and people around me. I could say, just following the flow. Trying not to deny. It is what it is.

I've never attempted and probably never will. But I really wish I would. But ironically I was born with an intense fear of physical pain. (Well idk about born with it, but I've had this fear since I can remember and there was nothing that sparked it unless it was subconcious)
That's why as a kid I never even broke a bone in my body nor stung by a single bee. Anything that could potentially hurt, I always avoided. And because failing means a life of nothing but pain for the most part, its become the main reason I've never attempted.

Watching this, I feel like I am suicidal. but I will not allow myself to commit to it as I know the pain and damage that it would cause to the few people that are close to me in this life. I have reached out to help, without paying a professional. and I've had my feelings tossed aside, or I am not listened to. I am struggling a lot, especially in the past few months, because my wife is bi-polar and apparently suicidal.
I'm struggling to hang on, but I am growing weaker as time goes on. I can feel it.

The scary thing is that the person can seem like they're doing okay. My daughter had struggled with mental illness for years. She got therapy and medication. She had attempted suicide many years before. It had been years since she had done anything risky. She would talk about her struggles, but when she was at her worst, she didn't talk about it. She didn't want anyone to stop her. She left a letter saying that's why she didn't say anything. I can't adequately explain just how much I miss her.
