What If Austria-Hungary Reunited Today? I mean if the coalescing governments agreed on some autonomy and reforming the empire for economic reasons then Id itd be viable. Countries making up the empire would become semi autonomous provinces with the imperial government consisting of senators from every provinces that is elected by the the people of their respective province. Just for a starting point, the head of each government would become their provinces senator.
In terms of official language, Id say German. Unofficial would be English for obvious reasons as its easier to learn then German and the citizens could communicate in English if they dont understand each other.
On the topic of cultural identity, the national day of each of the provinces would be celebrated and there would be a beautiful parade in the capital celebrating its citizens along with an imperial day where on top of the already existing provinces day scattered throughout the year, there would be one day to celebrate everyone together.
And the capital should either be Vienna or build from the ground up, an imperial capital thats of equalise distance from the empires entire border.
Oh and leave the Chinese territory. Unless they want to integrate into the empire

The empire was actually trending upwards in terms of stability until the war happened. And there was a percentage of the population in the successor countries that looked back on the old empire with nostalgia. If it had been given more time, it may have improved the treatment of it's different ethnicities across the territory, (especially if Franz Ferdinand had lived to become emperor. They already had considerably high standards of living compared to the rest of Europe. Even before the dissolution of the empire, the issues people had were more of sharing rights and privileges rather than the empire existing as a repressive entity. But who knows.

Austria-Hungary, if it were to come back in the modern day would likely be dived up into different states, with each state's borders being the former country's borders, or just the land annexed. Each state would have a representative. Then there would then be a vote for which representative would be the Chancellor, president or prime minister. The Hagsburgs would be in the British royalty situation without any real power in the government

The problem of multilingualism was partially solved with the Latin language in Austria-Hungary. If there was only one language they could use, it was Latin. Like:
Franciscvs Iosephvs I Dei Gratia Imperator Avstriae, Rex Bohemiae, Galiciae, Illyriae et cetera et Apostolicvs Rex Hvngariae = Francis Joseph I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria, King of Bohemia, Galicia, Illyria, etc, and Apostolic King of Hungary

Nice video! But why the hell the voice must speak so quickly? This trend is killing the flow of information. And please, do NOT call the Austrians as Germans, that's actually quite insulting. One more remark regarding the language: most of the nations in Empire were Slavic, and they usually understand to each other pretty well. Make Austria-Hungary Great again!

The Flag of Austria-hungary is wrong. There was no Flag for it. Each Member used there own one (Gold-Black for Austria. Green White Red for Hungary) The shown Flag was only for merchant ships and other civilian stuff. Never ment to be a flag for the whole thing.

Two countries using different mother languages is hard to reunited. Supposed that they reunited, there would be existence of culture conflicts, ethnic conflicts and regional discriminations.

Poland and Hungary are growing economies and military forces in Europe. You could see a unification like this amounting to an even stronger push to grow militarily.

They could do a similar thing to America, with all the countries as states. A new 'Austro-Hungarian' language could be created.
