How 1 Man Survived Being Lost 438 Days at Sea This record is ranked at num 2 but is significantly more impressive than number1 which happened in a well stocked trade ship. Three of fifteen survived (13 bodies recovered) 484 days. The others died from scurvy. Interestingly there were two separate reports of the crews original size being thirty-five men.

What the heck did they think was going to happen to them? They clearly knew a storm was coming but decided that it would still be a good idea to go fishing.

Cool story, my only problem is, I don-t believe it happened. 465 days lost at sea. Nope, not buying it. Less Stroud, one of the top survival experts in the world had issues with three days. I just can-t wrap my head around 465.

i looked up a book written about it, one of the chapters is called -ambushed by cockroaches. - can you imagine going thousands of miles into most remote parts of the biggest ocean and you still can't escape the damn roaches

Amazing story of survival, but the actions of his dead friends family, presumably after realising that his new found fame, might have financial benefit, is sadly, testimony to man's avarice, in any circumstance!

man just Imagine 6\Hours in the Briny Blue
back to Shore -turned into 438 Days in the Briny Blue
thats over an Entire Year Floating & Bobbing around
like some Hunk of Snaggly Mangled Drift Wood

Man was not meant to control the ocean. It says a lot that the human body has a better chance of survival by drinking turtle blood and your own pee than it does by drinking the water from the sea

This Is so addicting, I really want to experience if I was the person who was lost in sea and didn't die, but it is kinda scary, alveringa's story is so interesting (srry his name is wrong)

Most of this is nonsense! Why the hell would you drink urine? It will make dehydration much much worse and also male you sick as its waste our bodies dont want and full of salt.

no one:
the ship that saw him adrift, waved at him and kept going, leaving him to die: -dont worry dude, we just making sure you get the world record! thank us later! -

reply

bro, depending on what country that cargo ship was in, he could sue for millions, get all the men on board imprisoned an much much more. Thats just sick
reply

its not his fault the other guy wasted mosted of the food on the boat just to commit he had to make up for his actions somehow and repay him all that food -

You can survive for over a year at sea catching birds and turtles with bare hands.

Obviously they knew their relative wouldnt give up on life. That must be hard. Knowin a man who MURDERED UR loved one. Is now a CELEBRITY.
reply

-there-s no way I could keep a calm mind not knowing what lurks beneath you, let alone looking into nothingness in every direction, humbling-

If he tried to eat him, his colleague wouldve probably tried to kill him and the injuried wouldve groun an infection and he wouldve died.
reply

plus how they gona investagate? ask aqau man to translate fish in court?

reply

How did the boat not sink? Aren't the waves massive that far out? In over a year, surely there are bound to be some massive stroms?
reply

That man has lot of hope and persistence. OMG! I could not able to imagine myself in his place. I learnt a lot from his life.
reply

But how could he survive just by eating raw stuff, blood and pee?
And did he throw his friends corpse or still on boat?

reply

Sooooo when the motor broke down, they could've taken turns on the back of the boat using thier LEGS to paddle to shore?
reply

I gotta be honest, 438 days? -. I don-t think I-m surviving that. It would be hard to keep going for over a year.
reply

He missed his tax payment due date, twice, and now he's also in trouble with the tax authorities in his country.
