How Earth-s Geography Will Change With Climate Change In the 50s the consensus was of course the ice age was here. The consensus cure was to cover the poles
In coal dust.
-The evidence in support of these predictions [global cooling] has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. - The Cooling World-A study release last month by two NOAA scientists that the amount of sunshine reaching the ground in the continental U. S. diminished by 1. 3% between 1964 and 1972. - The Cooling World-Telltale signs are everywhere. the thickness of the pack ice. the southward migration of warmth-loving creatures like the armadillo. - Another Ice Age? -Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2. 7 degrees. - Another Ice Age? -The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind, - The Ice Age Cometh!

The prediction that vast populations would -have to be relocated- is not what would happen. Just like we are seeing NOW there will be increasing and ongoing resistance to accept -populations- of refugees across borders. The Chinese populations would probably move north, but most of the other Asian populations would be trapped, and there would unquestionably be a rise in violence related to resource competition. A more realistic prediction is that -- when things start to get REALLY rough -- there will be declining (read that 'dying') populations because of supply and food shortages due to infrastructure collapses, and an increase in violence and civil unrest. The saddest part in all this will be the mass extinction of countless species, both plant and animal. We have been TERRIBLE -stewards of the Earth- and, on the whole, have no perceivable wisdom or self-discipline.

Multiple things missing.
Denmark would be mainly underwater due to rising sea level. It would be an island. A lot of places would have a similar fate.
Water currents, winds, monsoons and rain shadows will still exist. The inlands might have bigger deserts (Or new ones, but some coasts would probably still be habitable.
There will probably be quite a few resource wars. The U. S. may annex Canada (Or at least merge. Wars will also impact the planet.
Depending on a few factors, the earth human capacity will be lower and heat related death will occur more often.

I didn't get further than 0: 45.
This is complete bs and not in agreement with IPCC projections. As it gets warmer, rainfall increases on average. There are certain areas, that will get dryer, but globally, deserts don't expand with a warming climate, they shrink. As they always did when it got warmer in the history of the planet.
And no, I'm not a climate change denier, I take it very seriously, which is why I'm sick of antifactual unscientific hysteria.

So Al Gore predicted that New York would be under water by now because all the artic ice has melted. It never came through. We should take any predictions with a pince od salt. A rise in CO2 does not mean the world will turn to dessert. Ie the world has gotten 15% greener in the last 20 years because CO2 is 0. 04% of the atmosphere and its also plant food. 2nd the ice isn't melting. 3rd the medieval warm period saw prosperity not poverty.

Canada, Northern Europe and Eastern Europe: Guys, we can explain.
Southern Europe, USA and East Asia: You guys actually benefited from climate change! All our countries were turned into scorching deserts!
The Indian subcontinent, Central America, South America and Southern Africa: Scorching deserts! Huge parts of all our lands became uninhabitable!
Pacific Islands and South East Asia: Wait, you guys still have countries?

Why do you wish to scare the uneducated young people with something which will never happen? Greenland ice cores show that 5, 000 years ago it was 2. 4deg. C warmer, yet civilisation flourished in the Middle East and Europe. It remained warm during Roman times. So, cut this rubbish and stick to science.

Yeah, in a +4C world Canada would become nice and pleasant while US would become a lifeless desert. What do you think, what would happen? I feel you forget the fact US has the stockpile of 3500 nuclear warheads. Somehow I developed the feeling Canada wouldn't exist as an independent state for too long.

What you can count on 100% of the time are the climate predications being wrong, mostly absurdly so and often fraudulently so. Oddly the cure for what ever flavor of today's climate crisis happens to be the answer is always the same, more taxes, wealth redistribution and lost liberties.

That model only accounts for land changes. As temperatures go up ocean evaporation goes. What also goes up is atmospheric energy goes up and wind velocity will go up. The world would go up and the future would be ferocious storms and flooding alternating with heat waves.
reply

I dont think Canada will become a global power. Most likely the USA will invade Canada and proclaim Canada as the new USA. These countries that are getting screwed will not go quietly, they will kill for other countries' land. And a lot of them are nuclear powers.

If the earth hits 4 degrees celsius warming so many runaway feedback loops will be activated that stopping at 4 degrees will be impossible. Say hello to 6 or 7 degrees celsius and kiss organized civilization goodbye. I'm 74 so I don't have to see it.
reply

Seriously mate, what is your background? Cos after a few videos I'm convinced you don't actually do proper research and have enough insight into key aspects of geography. Putting deserts in the middle of the Equator is a first grade mistake.

We will in all likeliness go up by -_two percent, _- despite attempts to prevent it. -_Three percent is dangerous. _- We've gone up over 1 percent (around 1. 2 to 1. 4 percent) since the Industrial Age a century ago.

Mass majority of Canada cant grow crops, not because of climate, but because of the Canadian Shield: an enormous country-spanning rock layer below the surface that makes it impossible to properly grow crops.

Considering some of the ancient bacteria or whatever frozen under some of the ice in the world. they'd have to also survive that -
And the potential issuing war
Also, rip Caribbean and Southest-Asia

All the really white brits would finally get a tan instead of turning red. Climate change predictions, not one has been accurate in the last 60 years what makes you numties think they will be right now.
reply

Great. So once we destroy the areas we currently have there's still enough for a few more generations to destroy. If it gets to 4 degrees and we can keep going, the warming will continue as well.
reply

This doesn't take into account all the wars that will happen by mixing billions of Low IQ and Third World populations with the rest of civilized societies. A epic clash of colossal proportions.
reply

Replace relocate with die or fight to the death to get into the habitable zone and this video would be much more accurate. If this future comes to be we will be in the 100 millions max.
reply

LoL, this map is laughable. This is the least credible projection that I've ever seen. Like a map from a cheesy sci-fi writer. Completely ignores physics, weather, and thermodynamics.
reply

The future looks bright. I got a feeling a whole lot of humans will die before we get to this bright future. And we'll have to ditch religion in order to enjoy this bright future.
reply

I dont know if I believe that all of Asia, including Tokyo, will become the equivalent of the Sahara. I think Global Warming will be bad, but this seems exaggerated.
reply

Why do you have such a hatred for the uk the whole of it was green but you failed to even mention it apart from once in Antarctica what a waste of time this video was
reply

Sorry that you think we would let hundreds of millions of people move to Canada and settle here, and destroy the artic and the Yukon you got another thing coming.
reply

The earth has been 4 degrees warmer countless times before. (We are currently in an ice age) the world isn't mostly desert in this situation. Bad information
reply

If you change the temperature by 4 degrees the world would not be changed, if you changed it by say, 40 degrees, this would be ok, but 4 degrees?
reply

ur full of b. s. in claiming so much desertification would happen as if the warmer temperatures wouldn't also result in increased rainfall.
reply

According 'Gods' of earth the globalist, we have been upgraded from Global warning into Global boiling. Will 'Global Barbeque' follow soon? -
reply

Canada trying to stake a claim to Antarctica is a laughable concept. We won't be able to defend our own territory in this scenario
