Apparently stealing people's money and withdrawing economic aid /bribery doesn't prevent ideologically extreme males from abusing women.
Why would this be surprising
The whole world is against these warriors and the only people they can dominate is the country's women.
By now westerners understand that if their governments don't try to police countries living under medieval and strongman rules will be accused of only caring about freedom in Western society and only protecting citizens there -- and if they do step in guns of Blazing they will be criticized for interference and empire building.
One criticism is just words, but when Western forces move in the evidence of coercion is ruined infrastructure and dead bodies.
Given these realities the choice seems simple. If we don't want blood on our hands, stay out of it. If we don't want to build up an unsustainable debt for our own country, stay out of it. If the people westerners are sending over there don't understand, the culture stay out of it. It's not such a bad thing to be living in Yurts in unpopulated areas and having to wear too many clothes. But it looks like torture to have to walk around completely burdened down with fabric in a crowded modern culture full of a contemporary buildings. There's really no point in bombing cultures back to the bare subsistence stone age. And no I don't really which society has historically lived in yurts. But I do know that societies can have rich intellectual and religious cultures, and still live primitively. I also believe that it's hard to conquer and Rule armed people living in mountains. I think that the EU and NATO still haven't gotten Switzerland to join up, even though it's wealthy elitists are happy to host world leaders in Davos every year. It's so sickening to hear about people killing and controlling each other over ideologies.

America was in a damned if you, damned if you don't situation with Afghanistan.
On one hand, the overall quality of life for people improved for nearly 20 years, but on the other hand, you can't stay there forever.
Even when they were still there, they only had about 2, 500 troops stationed in the country. Removing them should not have allowed the Taliban to take over a 500, 000 stationed army, but that's what happens when leadership is cowardly & corrupt, and flees the second they have to step up & call the shots.
As you could see when the last US planes were departing, many people feared what would happen if the Taliban took control & knew it was back to the dark ages. People don't tend to cling on to moving aircraft unless they're desperate.
But if 20 years (an entire generation) isn't enough to allow a government to succeed on its own, then they were doomed to failure anyway.

What I feel is most infuriating whenever learning about the middle east is that some British guy from 100 years ago drew the boarders. Not saying that all of these problems would go away but I cant help but feel that if we just redrew boarders of countries these people would be significantly more happy and less likely to start wars. Separating ethnic groups to control them easier worked 100 years ago when they were colonies, today it just creates a mess and a power struggle for these groups of people.

The difference between the USSR and the US invasion of Afghanistan is that the USSR built roads, hospitals, schools, bridges, and other civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan, and the US only provided protection for a corrupt puppet regime that robbed ordinary people. In addition, the USSR withdrew its troops in an organized manner, in slender columns with the national flag raised, and the United States simply fled shamefully, abandoning all its Afghan ally to the mercy of fate.

>Tells Afghan women needs escorts to roam the streets and needs burqas
-Immediately shows women wandering by themselves with their hair showing. <
(Alas an escort is only needed when they travel across the country not in the city and Burqa is not mandatory, both men and women just need to dress modestly. Also stoning for adultery is not a woman exclusive punishment, its a punishment for everyone who cheats on their spouses man or woman alike)

ISIS-K: financed by the CIA and the Mossad.
It's a crime that the US can hold Afganistan's money. Hipocracy really, because there isn't that much of a difference between the backwardeness of Afganistan and the backwardeness of Saudi Arabia, yet the US only sactions Afganistan.
So, all el Chapo has to do is hold randsome some american so they can set him free in exchange

As somebody who is the citizen of the neighbouring country, Uzbekistan, to Afghanistan, this video is full of garbage. If you are making a video, do so properly. Exagerating everything will only make you look dumb. I truly hope people will realize how inaccurate your videos are and stop eating the garbage you provide.

Lol absolutely terrible take. Afghanistan hasn't invaded another nation in it's whole history.
It's is a strategic spot on the great game board.
Fun fact: An unstable Afghanistan is the only thing keeping a direct land route between Irans massive oil deposits and over a third of humanity.

Ah, didn't China recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government by accepting the Taliban appointed ambassador as the official representation of the country This is official recognition as far as I understand it.
So there is one country that recognized them and it is the paper dragon.

How was that amount of gear and weapons left behind I don’t want to sound conspiratorial but could that not be a calculated move
Let them have it and kill each other
It’s just so much stuff I don’t get it.
A destabilizing amount of stuff if someone were to use it.

I remember reading The Kite Runners in high school. The story is happening before the Soviet's invasion and, although the story itself is a sad one, the description of Afghanistan in that time felt like paradise on Earth. It just sad to witness what is happening there nowadays.

Pakistanis helped the Taliban so much in their war against US imperialism. Taliban wouldn't be existing right now if it wasn't for Pakistan's cover. Yet, very soon after gaining power in Afghanistan, Taliban turned their guns toward Pakistan. Shameful act by Taliban.

If America thought it was worth fighting for, they should not have tucked tail and ran. Meanwhile, America is imploding under the weight of their own pile of hypocrisy, debt and injustice. Sweep around your own front door. There is much filth at home.

1: 00 - Well, after USSR's withdrawal the puppet Democratic Republic of Afganistan managed to exist in one way or another for 3 more years or so (depending on how you count. A failure, but I wouldn't call it a spectacular one.

I'm from Kazakhstan, and I can easily say that Afghanistan is the most insane place on earth. I hope we will never turn to a sharia country. They also treat other Turkic nations identical to us like Hazaras very badly
