Dig into the phenomenon of face pareidolia, which is the tendency of our brains to see faces in everyday objects. Imagine opening a bag of chips, only to find Santa Claus looking back at you. Or turning a corner to see a building smiling at you. Humans see faces in all kinds of mundane objects, but these faces aren t real they're illusions due to a phenomenon known as face pareidolia. So why exactly does this happen, and how far does this distortion go? Susan G. Wardle explores why we see illusory faces. Sairam: It's really simple that we social animals are best at imaging with just words and personifying inanimate objects. Staring at something for a long time can start the process of personification.

That is why, Face always been have important place in Mankind history
World is born in the form of material. Face or appearance is the that word related to material.
Human interact with other Human by seeing his/her face. And also judge him/her by their appearance!

You are wrong and the title is wrong. Not only humans, but animals do the same. Not only living creatures but narrow artificial intelligence algorithm's do the same. It is not a human or evolutionary unique feature, computers do the same

People are always miss judged by looks but the values of discernment emphasize body language over discrimination. A kind and caring smile will move people's hearts with the first impression.

Brain's personification of faces is alike the imagery of words. Who knows? A dolphin is just alike a social human but in there own language of speech and judging others of there species.

It's vehicles for me. Whenever I sit at a light or drive on the highway with one or several cars in front of me I notice their faces. Some are smiling while others seem grumpy or bored.

I've experienced this, and I know for sure it's not weird, but something that's normal to experience. Our brain is far more complex than any one of us could make assumptions about it.

The shapes on the floor sometimes felt intentional.
The floors and the trees don't make faces on their own so I don't worry.

It's like we have a face ID chip in our brain. People who have a problem with this part of the brain can't tell faces apart.

I don't see faces everywhere, I see fukpotatos everywhere. It's like they came here from another planet and are taking over.
