It's perfectly human to grapple with questions, like 'Where do we come from? ' and 'How do I live a life of meaning? ' These existential questions are central to the five major world religions and that's not all that connects these faiths. John Bellaimey explains the intertwined histories and cultures of Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. Lesson by John Bellaimey

Hinduism: you have two cows. Don't steal any cows or you'll have no cows in the next life.
Judaism: God says we should kill them and take their cows. Then they'll be our cows to fight over forever.
Buddhism: If you stop wanting people's cows, you will stop suffering.
Christianity: If you've got more than two cows, you better be giving them to those who don't.
Islam: Look you've gotta at least give people milk from your cows. Also come to mecca. Cows optional.

Broad social and utilitarian experience coupled with academic study can lead to enlightenment if one carefully reflects and draws appropriate conclusions. But, unless socially directed plans of action lead to an improvement of human and non-human biology through time, such individual enlightenment has no value and life on earth will continue on the path of degradation.
All religions are simplistic and childishly reflective offering very little to individuals or society.

Hinduism was developed from a civilisation near the banks of the river Indus, but nobody knows the true picture of their lives other than remnants and intuitions made by archaeologists. This culture might have evolved across India into different beliefs, cultures, traditions and festivals. That might be the reason behind so much variety of culture in each state of India. I think they just mentioned about the Gods but it is more than that.

Correct me if i am wrong the concept of moksha in Hindus & recarnation is bit confusing to me! due to my good karma i could escape this cycle of birth & rebirth & final got Moksha but as we are witnessing around the world population is increasing exponentially rather decreasing, actually it should be just opposite. if with good karma people are out of birth & rebirth process world population should be less than 5000 years back.

I never liked when people say people in x religion are bad no. There will be people, anywhere, anytime, that claim to any religion, that will not be kind to others, and will use others to get ahead. We are all human and should love, we must know our weaknesses and work together to not let them pull us down. Out of your own free will of course.

That's some interesting definition of major religion. Considering one of these isn't even consistently religious or incompatible with the others, and one of these is minor enough in absolute numbers to be likely outnumbered by random large modern inventions like LDS Mormonism.

Buddhism isn't a religion. It's a philosophy, a lifestyle.
Unlike the other 4, it has claims no divine power, nor divine entity/entities.
Only the interpretation of life itself.
It's more similar to minimalism or FIRE than any other religion.

excuse me? did you even read the bhagavadgita? good karma is not the answer. karma just binds you to karma. the answer is to establish yourself in the supreme being, or supreme center consciousness that is beyond karma and therefore escape it.

It is strange Hindus finding faults here when Hinduism is No religion at all. And all the stories they have are myths. None of the characters in their stories are real historical characters unlike the other religions mentioned.

Hinduism existed far before KRISHNA goes back to vedic era or before.
Krishna is one of the Avatars of Lord Vishnu who is one of the 3 dieties(Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva)
BTW its not a religion its the way of life
