Some of these things may be real things (like independent journalists) while others aren't, but both sides definitely intend to sway minds using this terminology as it subtly influences the people listening to it. Both sides will often call something clearly on their side on or the other. Calling your opinion an alternative fact makes it sound like a fact when it is an opinion. calling your opinion fact checked is pretty much the same thing. Both often cite sources that are out of context or one sided for convenience Makes it look and sound legit.
Anyone looking for an opinion-editorial site that will call itself that and is relatively troll free, look up theflipside news. Virtually double speak free and actually really good. They also don't claim to be presenting alternative facts or to be a fact checker. They call themselves well researched opinion pieces and tend to have the best arguments from multiple sides well presented. I don't work for them or anything. It just seems like a good place to mention the option.

The left was always the best repository to find Orwellian methods. The Soviets with Pravda (truth, as the only newspaper available. The fairy tales they have spread are legendary. The democrats, with their constant lies and mass manipulation through the mass media are a contemporary example. We have these manipulative assholes everywhere in world. All they want is power. They will do anything to get it. It started with lies and moved on to violence. Kennedy knew all of this 60 years ago.

No, THIS IS TODAY, July 28, 2020! I was just scooped up to a 'Corovid Hotel', not because I HAVE COVID 19 but because I TESTED FOR IT (NO RESULTS Yet. My apartment manager INSISTED I GO TO KEEP MY APARTMENT. And, it is 3 pm and they have not given me anything to eat. They didnt even answer the phone for 30 minutues! What if there was. Fire up here on the 12th floor? So GLAD I WAS BORN IN 1951 AND WULL DIE SOON
